Better than expected
A few years ago I bought the mini NES system for my son. It’s pretty good, has like 35 games preloaded. I couldn’t find the same system to gift my nephew so bought this with caution, given some of the reviews. It exceeded expectations. First, it’s wireless, which the NES isn’t. Second- it’s mind boggling how many games are on this. Literally hundreds and hundreds. Literally any game you can think of from 1985-1993ish. There’s a bizarre Ronald McDonald game, if that gives you an idea. And they organize them by genre, so you can play a puzzle game, racing game, sports, etc. Everything works flawlessly.

Good concept emulator glitchy
I bought this back in beginning of march and I received it lightning fast. I couldn’t wait to test it out. Here is the problem with the product.1: the emulation that they are using is glitchy meaning that it looks like the D pad is getting stuck when in fact that the emulator has a major lag.Playing dr.Mario or Tetris is impossible.Playing Mario or any directional game play your character will advance to the last directional button you use. ( it’s very annoying )So my first impression was that the D-Pad is getting stuck so I return the product for a replacement to give them a chance. The company indeed sent me a replacement but the problem persist so that’s when I know that the emulator is the problem. Now to scketchy part of the store.I return the 2nd product exactly as I returned the 1st one. Waited 8 days and my refund never came. So I called Amazon and the representative stated that the seller claimed that the product was returned damage. Hence why my refund was not issued.Amazon made it right and refund my money. But please for those of you that is thinking on purchasing this item from this store, be weary and be vigilant. Hence the reason for my 1 star review.

They quickly replaced the defective game
I was a little leery at first since the first console they sent me didn't work, it wouldn't allow me to select a game (only menu appeared). Once I filled out the return info on Amazon, they immediately shipped another which thankfully worked fine. It's about the size of a fire stick or roku and plugs into the HDMI port on the TV. I used the USB on the TV to power it and the games loaded in seconds. The instructions are pretty limited (one small sheet tucked in the back of the packaging), but basically you used the start & select buttons to choose the game and player options, and press both buttons at the same time to get the menu to quit, go back, load new, resume, etc.). Apparently you can add more games via internet website on the memory card that runs it, and there's a folder (misspelled "floder" LOL) to store new downloaded games, but I haven't got thru the 818 games that it came with yet.I was pretty stoked that it had a bunch of classics from my childhood like PacMan, Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, Qbert, Mario, Paper Boy, Formula racing games and tons more. I played so long my thumbs were getting raw! The wireless controllers is what makes this one better than most retro consoles out there. They are old-school style graphics (Think 1981 thru 1990) so some are pretty raw, but fun enough that my young kids still will play for hours on end. Overall I'm pleased with it and would recommend as long you're not expecting PS or Xbox level graphics.

I want to give this more stars but the controls don't work right
There are many good things about this system. This is really fun and easy to set up and play. There's a lot of games that I remember from arcades, yes a long time ago lol. It's very portable, great for traveling. It works hanging out with friend's and having hundreds of games we all remember. And it would have been excellent and gotten 5 stars if the controllers worked correctly. I tried taking batteries out and resetting, tapping the controller if something was stuck, but nothing g fixes the biggest issue. The control sticks in the down position on one and the left on the other pretty much making the games unplayable, unless there's one that needs the character to only go down of left. It will sort of stop for a few seconds and then start sticking again sometimes without even pressing the pad in that direction. On another note, sometimes annoying and sometimes hilariously, many game titles are a translation from a foreign language to English, and not an accurate one. There are a few games I wish the system had that it doesn't or maybe it does but are just named something so bizarre I haven't found them yet. In all a great idea just wish the controls worked better.

Love until…
These were great while they lasted. For the price, they were quite fun. We seem to be having problems with the controllers being finicky - would love if they were able to be replaced. Fun nostalgia for the price while they lasted :)
