Received as gift only to find out from Goldenseller that it IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 10. When I connected it to my desktop computer to load some mp3 music, I heard the handshake beeps but the device did not appear as a recognized device on my desktop computer so I couldn't load my music.I contacted Goldenseller and was told: "Not compatible with Windows 10, the newest Microsoft Operating System. The product description does not mention anything about incompatibility with Windows 10.Nice player otherwise.I must return it to Amazon.

The memory is great and the sound quality is fine. However, if you want to listen to books it has no way to bookmark so you could listen to more than one book at a time or switch between a book and music. I like to switch between listening to a book and music, and could not with this device. Also the fast forward or back is very slow so it can take minutes to find your place in a one hour book segment. It's also fairly easy to click on a button while you are turning it on or adjusting the volume and lose your place because they are all using the same big button. As others have mentioned the button clicks very loudly, my husband commented that he thought I was trying to break it because the click was so loud. I've spent so many minutes trying to get back to my place that my thumb goes numb. You can pause the story and let it turn off and pick up the story later. I'm very frustrated with it and am going to buy a Creative Zen again. I imagine it is totally fine if you plan to listen to songs or short podcasts.
