The original inspiration for Korner came from a conversation I had with a couple who were considering home security. They were a dual-income couple, both college educated, renting an apartment, and they recently had a child. They had shopped around for home security for some time, yet they finally decided not to purchase anything because all the alternatives cost more than they were willing to pay. After hearing this story it struck me - if this dual-income, college educated couple can't afford home security, WHAT ABOUT EVERYBODY ELSE?!? What makes your product special? I bought this because my korner had difficulty connecting in a specific room. After I plugged in the extender, at first nothing changed but then my korner was able to connect. Occasionally the extender will disconnect and cause issues with the korners. For the most part, the extender works as expected.

Extender Doesn't Have Chime Function
I would have rated it 5 stars, but it does not chime each time a door is open (a good thing for a house with kids). As a result, I have to depend on the chime from the stick that is inserted in the back of the modem in the basement. You can faintly hear the stick, but it would be nice if the extender also had the chime function. The website says they are working on it...

Excellent Protection in an Easy to Setup and Use System!
I gave this system to my sister who is out of work and disabled - and who had her home broken into in the past - while she was home! This system is easy to set up (if you follow the set-up application on your smart phone OR PC).Things we liked about this system:Easy to install - easy to use;Easy control via the smart phone application;The whole system is plug and play;Email and phone pop-up (allowing you to send a message to your circle or call 911) if there is an intrusion detected;Beeps when NOT armed so you know its working and can monitor activity in the home - OR you can arm it while in the home (unlike with motion detection systems) for an additional feeling of security;You can add family, or neighbors, whoever you want to be notified in case of an intrusion;Great customer service - prompt, friendly response to the few questions we had;I love that the system is updated remotely when new features become available;The whole system can be taken with you when/if you move;It's SO much less expensive than any other option out there!My sister is delighted and so relieved to be well protected.Thank you Korner!

Best remote system with a great starter price and superb support
I bought the system in the first round of crowdfunding. The system and the company has exceeded my expectations so far. It is is very easy to set-up. Just follow the instructions in the app and you will have no problems. If you do, just contact the company by email or message board. They are prompt and helpful. In fact, they seem very eager to please us customers which is a new one for me (if you are used to comcast/time warner support techs). The tags are so simple and easy to install. It took 10 seconds each, probably less. I love the fact that the battery is a very common button lithium cell. I don't have to buy expensive special batteries anymore. And, when I move all I have to do is pop out the tags and reinstall in my new home. I do suggest buying a 500VA or more UPS so it services the modem, router and FOB. I saw one just made for low consumption devices that would be perfect for $50.Once installed, the system is easy to arm/disarm. You can even type in the specific phone number for your closest police department within the house profile. I have added family members as users with limited privileges so they can arm/disarm but not change any settings. They just use their phone (app). And the arm/disarm process is instantaneous. The company constantly makes improvements to the firmware and app, which is a super plus or a +++. They have also stated interoperability with other products such as power locks and video cameras in the future. Simply put, this is a system that will grow with me. I don't see myself switching to another system.

Like others, I purchased this on Indiegogo, along with three tags. Set-up was super easy, and the system is extremely reliable. Customer service is also great - I emailed them with a question once, and they emailed me back immediately and asked if I wanted to chat, so super helpful!. The security circle is nice too, easy to add your family and friends, with the ability to warn them if there is a problem. The setting on the website and app are also very useful. It's a great (and inexpensive) system, and well worth it.

I like being an early adopter. I got this as part of the crowd funding deal.Korner suits my needs and budget.All questions have been answered promptly and professionally.My homeowner's insurance accepted this product for a discount on my policyI was NOT going to give a place like Comcast any more moneyI like that this is an independent Internet of Things device
