Our whole family loves this book!
My son loves music and he loves to play any instrument he can get his hands on. He's only 2.5 so I can't say that he's great at playing them but the enthusiasm is there! We got him this book and "Music" by Jill McDonald many months ago. Both are still his favorites that he chooses to read alone or with my husband and I whenever he is in the reading mood. I love the illustrations and he does too! My son is a big book-lover so we are privileged to have A LOT of different books for ages 0-6years. I'd say this book is in his top 10 favorite books. He's memorized the words and will repeat them to himself as if he knows how to read when he wants quiet time. It's adorable.

Unique, diverse read about opposites and music vocabulary
My 2 year old loves this book, it’s a bedtime favorite and requested read at least 3 times in a row. I love it because the illustrations are inclusive and show diversity, it’s a unique way to learn about opposites, and a neat way to introduce some music vocabulary. I highly recommend this for your little one!

Musical parents need this
Loved it so I bought 2. One for my house and 1 for my brother who is about to become a grandfather to have at his house. As the whole family are professional musicians, this is a great gift.

Simply said with thought provoking aspects of music.
The book was written very simply and allows room for the adult reader to discuss with the child what the simple statements mean .It offers the many different aspects of music, such as the varietal of music, the moods and how it affects us.Glad my grand kids have it.

Excellent book!
I teach kindergarten music and this book is a great way to start off the year and talk about some of the topics in music we will be learning about (fast/ slow, soft/ loud, etc). The pictures are great, the words are inspiring and my students were engaged while I read!!
