Favorite lighter!
Love the WWI trench lighter look with the easy one hand operation. The movable windscreen works great and it lights more consistently than my name brand lighterZ.It holds up to use and abuse. It's easy to replace components. Mine came with extra flint, wick and a striker wheel. My FAVORITE part is... IT DOES NOT LEAK like others are notorious for. Unless I overfill it and some spills out when replacing the cap. No more embarrassing and uncomfortable rectangular chemical burns where my fifth pocket lives. No more herky jerky starts and stops and it's less than 49.95! Shipping and handling may vary.

One of the best lighters
I have a pretty extensive lighter collection (Zippos, IMCO, Corona Old Boy, etc.) and this little lighter has a nice solid weight, and like the IMCO fills easily, and has a good wick cap that reduces fuel evaporation. What makes this lighter stand out is the well machined flint/lock striker mechanism. If you look carefully at the side of the flint wheel you will see that notched set up on one side with a thin metal cam. This stepped locking along with the weighted thumb depression on the striker makes for a very smooth and consistant flint ignition with a great positive feel. The only thing you miss, compared to a IMCO, is the ability to light and pull out the ignited fuel camber as a stand alone candle or stand off igniter for camp fire tinder. But I feel the design aesthetic, and wonderful flint igniter build, make up for those minor shortcomings. Overall easily one of the top 5 trench lighters. Other folks have thought the extra little metal part supplied with the 2 extra O rings was a wick or flint wheel cleaner, it is actually a extra metal cam that meshes with the notched flint wheel. ?maybe this part this wears out? One final note, some reviewers have complained of fuel leakage, in my hands this has happened when I over saturated the cotton with lighter fluid, then when the unit heats up with initial use the heat and fuel expansion caused leaking even with the fuel chamber screw turned down very hard against the O ring. This resolves nicely after a few uses, and is not an issue if you are careful not to overfill the fuel tank.

Nice lighter but somewhat inauthentic.
The media could not be loaded. Neat looking and works fine. I took off a star because of the big maker's name emblazoned on the side. Trench lighters don't have maker's names. Otherwise, I filled it with fluid and it lit right up!

I hope it lasts forever
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this lighter. It's very heavy/sturdy and well made. I think if I take good care of it, it could last a very very long time. And I use it daily! I use zippo fluid it in. I've had to change the flint once and pull out the wick a bit but haven't had to do much maintenence yet after a few months of regular use.The packaging was super nice. I still use the little bag and wooden box. I also like that it came with spare parts (spring, flints, cleaning brush, hook thingy, cotton). I'm expanding my herbal smokes business so this was great for testing blends without burning up all my lighters. Just a squirt of fluid once a week or so and literally, that's it. 10/10 highly recommend.(Oh, and for those that say it leaks, stop putting so much dang fluid in it and it wouldn't do that #silly).

I used to love this lighter
Unique and super easy to use. Very reliable to light and pretty wind resistant to stay lit. A little bit smaller than a Bic. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad.Update: Worthless piece of junkWorked fine at first, but then got harder and harder to light. So, I figured I would change the flint. The old flint still had some life left to it, but I changed it anyways. After many, many attempts it would finally light, but it is now a real pain in the arse to use. It lights after maybe 10 tries or so.I reached out to the company and got no reply. So, I reduced my rating from 5 stars to 1. I wish I could rate it lower.

Great, inexpensive, reliable lighter
This is an outstanding little lighter. The wick cover protects the wick and helps to prevent fuel evaporation. And it's spring-loaded so you get a very positive, consistent spark each time you flip it open. By way of comparison I invested in a Douglass Field-S lighter (which cost many times more than this lighter) and it usually requires 2-3 flip-opens of the wick cover to get a spark sufficient to ignite the fuel. I'm sending the Douglass Field-S back--it's beautifully built, but a lighter has to light! The windscreen on this lighter is adjustable--handy if you're indoors and need to use the lighter for illumination (slide the windscreen out of the way and the flame puts out even more light). Outdoors it does a good job in a breeze. Not as good as a Zippo, but few liquid fuel lighters do as well as a Zippo in a breeze.About the only negative with this lighter (or positive, depending on perspective): it's pretty small. Nice for carrying in the coin pocket of your jeans, but it doesn't hold a huge amount of fuel. Not really a problem, but if you're camping for a week you might want to take a can of fluid.Overall, very happy with the lighter.
