Years ago, I purchased an on-dash holder for my Garmin GPS (Garmin Portable Friction Mount) - the kind that has sort of a bean-bag base with four weighted extensions. It actually held to the dash quite well for about a year... then began to slide around. I found a spray to use on the bottom that helped restore its friction, but only for a while. I needed something that would hold the GPS securely in place when I'm driving my sports car on our winding roads, so I went looking on Amazon. I've now used this product underneath my friction mount for a couple of months and it does what I need it to wonderfully. I mean, it about clings like glue to the dash (and my GPS mount).... and, all the better, it's thin and very pliable - it'll mold itself beautifully to about any dash curvatures. No matter how aggressively I drive, the GPS mount now does not budge. I've always been in the habit of taking my GPS off the dash when I get out of the car.... both to deter thieves and to protect against any damage the heat may do reacting to the material of the mount base, so it's been easy to adjust to taking this pad off as well. I don't know if there'd be an issue if I just left it on the dash, but better safe than sorry... Love this simple, effective solution.

It works

I needed something to adhere to the top of the middle console in my van. I purchased this as the reviews seemed good for the price. Unfortunately, I don't like how every crumb and hair adheres to this as well so I have since returned it.

I admit I was doubtful when purchasing this pad. I now admit I didn't need to be. Once placed it won't move, not even at the edges. I placed a small air filter on top of it, on the top of the compartment between the driver and passenger seats. I can open the compartment with the filter on it and the pad works, holding everything in place. It really works. And yes once you clean it, it still works.

I am struggling with this review a little bit. I don’t really want to give it a low rating because the product seems decent and there’s no doubt it’s sticky but it seems to be stickier on this side that faces up versus the side that supposed to stick down to the dash. Every time I remove my cell phone or sunglasses the Hats stay stuck to those items and lift off the dash. So it’s a little frustrating. I’m hoping when the warmer months calm maybe it will stay stuck down to the dash better.

Got this to hold the baby monitor in the car (camera style) and it works great! Hasn’t slipped once!

I bought this so my GPS wouldn't slide, and in three years, it is still working fine. I just bought two more for my adult children who will be taking a long road trip and this will be a big help. Very reasonable price, and still as good as the day I bought it 3 years ago.

This item is a waste of money. It's way to sticky on both sides. If you put anything on it you have to pull over to remove item from it. It also is a problem to remove from dash because it sticks to whatever you put it on and it won't come off without practically ripping dash out of car. It's way to sticky and gets a mess when sun hits it.

Works great and easy to clean and just as sticky after cleaning. Awesome product! My Mom uses for her walker to stop things from falling off due to vibration.
