This box was just what I needed. I wanted to be able to store a handful of items I didn't want my kids getting into. I didn't want a key (something I could lose or misplace), and it didn't need to be impenetrable, just a strong deterrent for snooping. This served the purpose perfectly. It was easy to set the combination, the box is sturdy and compact, and the capacity was just right (once I removed the inner tray). The inside dimensions were pretty close to what's advertised.For my needs, it was just right, and the price was exceptional compared to other options. If you're looking for something to thwart burglars or protect from fire, this probably isn't the product for you. But for household items you want to keep away from kids, it's top-notch.

Lock is easy enough to set once you figure out where the lever they're referring to is located. Pretty easy to operate, and decently tough. A bit rough around some of the edges, but came at a pretty good price.

It works fine as a box but it does not securely lock. It is easy to open even if you do not know the code. If you want a box that will lock securely I would go someplace else.

Nice big box that will hold letter size documents. However, it is a little on the flimsy side, and I found it impossible to set the combination. Had to return. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this product from my experience. Wish I could.

The cashbox itself arrived as described and in terms of construction, it meets my expectations. I downgraded the rating, however, on the basis of their woefully inadequate instructions for resetting the combination.We've all chuckled over instructions written by somebody for whom English is a foreign language, but these instructions aren't similarly incoherent, they're just plain wrong. (Perhaps the company saved a few bucks by having them written by the lowest bidder for the job.)Let me help.Instruction 1 says "Turn the lock knob to the horizontal or open position"--- what it should say is: "With 0-0-0 set as the combination, turn the lock knob (located to the left of the combination dials) all the way to the right".Instruction 2 says "Move the lock switch from "A" to "B", (Located on the back plate of the lock inside the top lid.")--- ignore this line entirely. It bears no relation to reality. The "back plate of the lock" does not exist on the lid.--- the "back plate of the lock" actually exists on the LOWER body of the lock box, rather than the lid--- a small tab protrudes from the back plate of the lock (located, as I say, on the lower body of the box). Presumably, this is the "lock switch" they refer to. (If there really are "A" and "B" positions marked, I couldn't see or find them.)--- The tab is spring-loaded. I suggest that you use the thumb of your right hand to apply enough pressure to move and hold the tab from right to left. (Note: it takes a fair amount of pressure to counteract the force of spring.)--- while continuing to hold the tab with your right thumb, use your left index finger to change the combination to the one you prefer.--- release the tab (the one you're holding with your thumb).I find it hard to believe that a company would accompany a decent product with misleading instructions, but you have to give them credit for having saved a few dollars by having only gone through the motions.

I wanted this box to put my important documents in, in my new apartment which means I also did not want something bulky. This is the perfect choice, the lock us nice and easy to set up, plus the handle makes it very convenient.This Box is perfect for many 8.5" x 11" pieces of paper, and with the added cash tray it definitely has multiple uses. Would be great for Petty Cash too!Definitely 5 stars.

The box was a perfect size, lightweight and durable. The combination lock was easy to set and easy to operate.
