Nicely Designed and Functional But is a Bit Heavy Fully Extended.
Used it the same day I got it because I had some maple tree limbs brushing against my chimney. I have a steep Cape Cod style roof and do not like climbing on it if I can avoid it. Saw this advertised and figured I'd give it a try. Comes with no instructions, but it's not hard to assemble. Only thing to look out for is all the pieces are the same size except one, which is the one you attach the saw blade to. Was able to get a branch around 20 feet up cut by leaving out two of the pieces. But needed them all for a higher branch. I'm fairly strong, but took a good bit of effort to raise it up to cut the branch. I would not recommend using this near power lines. Too easy when fully extended to lose control of it. Other than that, a great product, solidly put together and easy to assemble to multiple lengths. And it has its own carrying bag. The ad says it can handle limbs 27 feet up, but that does not include your own height.

Sharp and efficient
This worked really well for cutting down big branches that I didn't have access to even the big heavy branch branches this thing cut through it within 30 seconds. Really awesome and easy to use just be careful when you're under the branches so it doesn't fall on you.

Works Well/Takes Effort/Hand Grip Came Off on Second Day of Use
First, I would say that I would buy this again. Poles are long (longer than you can probably use) and pretty sturdy for the height. Blade is sharp. Extra blade is great to have and one of the reasons why I bought this product as compared to competition. Carry bag is essential as you approach the trees to get the correct height on the pole. Cutting high branches takes work so be prepared but that is to be expected and is manageable if you want a good shoulder/arm workout. Once I got "started" I found more and more low or dead branches to cut (some quite high). Very addicting. Also, the hooks on each end of the blade are essential for ease of cutting but also VERY helpful to grab dead vines on trees to pull down. The reason I only gave it four stars is because, on the second day, the rubber bottom and mid pole grip handle on the lowest pole both came off (I couldn't find them in the woods). At first I thought I left that pole section on the ground as I modified the pole height periodically but then (after looking around for them for a while) I realized they had just slid off since that end of the pole had no metal connector piece like the others. You don't really need the grips but they should have been more securely attached so a one star "demerit." Overall, very glad I bought this!

A good trade off for weight, strength and height.
Admittedly, I have had this for only a short time, but I am impressed by this. I have tall coconut trees and have tried various poles including the "Notch 18’ Pole Saw Set with 15” Blade - Yellow (40207)". The tradeoff between weight, height, flexibility and strength of the poles is always there. The Notch is a shorter pole, sturdy but correspondingly much heavier. Using additional poles to get it to 24 feet requires considerable strength and balance to cut coconuts down from a tall tree. I have built my own larger poles by using high quality pool poles which are very light and flexible, but unfortunately, bend or break. This pruner comes in a convenient carry case which makes storage much easier. The Notch has 6 foot segments. The segments on this one is about 4 feet each. The trade off in being able to adjust the length to within 4 feet of what you desire, is that you have to spend more time assembling it if you want the full 30 feet. When I do screw in the different segments, there seem to be some metal shavings. I'm not sure if this is from the manufacturing process or if the grooves are being slowly damaged by the weight of the pole. The blades are sharp and cut through fronds or stalks holding coconuts, with comparative ease. Although it is lighter than the Notch, it is heavy and can be a challenge to handle at its full 30 feet. Lighter poles will be more fragile and appreciate the balance this pole offers. That being said, make sure you have an open area to bring the pole down. Once it starts coming down, it will be very difficult to stop, so have a clear area to let it drop as you do your best to slow the descent. Time will tell how long the groves used to join the poles hold.

Works like a charm
We’ve only had this saw a week and we’ve already dropped about a dozen limbs that would have cost us an arm and a leg to have someone do for us. The saw is a bit cumbersome to use at its full extension as the pole has some flex it in, but if you can get it hooked on the branch in question, you can use gravity to help you on the downward pull to get going. It’s amazing how the rounded blade is really made for this work. It’s even much easier than using a regular straight saw in a workshop. The blade is still going strong - as long as I store it properly, I think I’ll get years out of this piece of kit. Would recommend, especially for the price. A word of warning, it can be easy to cross thread the pieces if there is weight on either piece, so go slow and steady when connecting them. We now have two pieces that are stuck together so will need to be stored out of the bag, but that’s my fault for rushing it when I knew it was pinching!! If you’re taking down particularly long or heavy limbs, I would recommending looking up how to do that without damaging the tree (either undercut a bit and/or make the initial cut further out on the limb so the weight doesn’t strip the bark when it comes away, then come back and clean up the branch stump you’ve left on the tree - much easier without all the weight). I included some pics to show the clean cuts I was able to achieve. This is from a ladder with about a 10 ft pole on the saw. Of course, it goes without saying, take all relevant safety precautions and have someone spot you, help with ropes, etc - falling branches ain’t no joke.

excellent in every way.
This saw is awesome, truly. I have to regularly cut palm fronds that are way the heck up there. The multiple segments lets you chose your length. The two blades are very sharp, and so they cut quickly. A great cheap tool.

Well-made, does the job!
Works surprisingly well. I have a bunch of cottonwood’s, etc. and the blade on this works quite well. Cutting through even some branches over 3 inches in diameter. The pole, at full length, gets a little wobbly and for one person is hard to get up vertically, but once in position, it does a great job and for the price is very very well-made. I know I’ve saved quite a bit of money. Had I hired somebody to come out and get some of these branches off!

Works but is hard to use
first off it works... but its super heavy and the taller the branch the harder it is to cut and maneuver the saw, when it arrives use lock tight on the screw mine worked lose and fell never to be seen again it definitely worked all my muscles in all the wrong ways but it cut all the branches with time and persistence. (On the plus side it cut the thick branches the poles are sturdy and the bag it comes with is super handy)

26 feet pruner / does the job
This is a great tool for those high branches. You will need to have strong arms to hold this pruner and have good balance with your arms because it will shift on you. My arms got tired after cutting 2 branches 25 feet high within 5 minutes. Take a rest and go back later to prune some more branches from the tree. It is worth the money to cut the branches down. The professionals will charge big bucks to cut the branches.

Qualité supérieure
Produit de qualité, permet de couper des branches de plus de 4 pouces aisément, la lame est de qualité et vous en avez une en rechange. Cela servira pour plusieurs années. C’est lourd quand vous utilisez toutes les sections.
