UK two CD collection, the third installment in this popular series from the ZTT Records archives that focuses on rare and classic 12" remixes by the godfathers of Electronica and Pop, threaded together by their off-shoot projects. Includes tracks from Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Act, the Belle Stars, Madness, Jeff Beck Via Art of Noise, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, ABC, M, Electric Guitars and others. In essence, this third volume of remixes is definitely inspiring, mildly disturbing and truly essential!

More than expected
Sure, this is released on the ZTT label, but on Volume 3, the tracks include artists who were not on that label back in the 80s. Sure there's a couple of Frankie songs, and Art of Noise, and even (especially Nasty Rox, Inc. But my favorite band that nobody ever heard of - The Electric Guitars - also shows up with a great remix version of "Language Problems", produced by Martin Rushent (see also Human League). The whole package is stitched together with bits and pieces of TV intros and theme songs, which to be honest are more relevant to UK audiences, but this theme is also represented by using video mixes of some tracks. The music really gets rolling with Sigue Sigue Sputnik's "Love Missile F1-11" and throughout the two discs, you get to hear some of the best 12" mixes of the time, many never before on CD, and some unreleased until now.

Great Album
Although this is Ztt its got loads of 12'' remixes by artists who were never signed to Ztt but were produced or connected somehow too Ztt to make this great Album like ABC 12 inch mixes of the look of love all 12 and half minutes of it! and Belle Stars Sign of the Times, but then you have the Ztt heavy weights like FGTH and The Art of Noise and my personal Favourite of Complete Machinery which is a massive 19 minutes long.

If you want a headache.....
I once was a fan of ZTT but recently got very bored with the whole pretentiousness of it all and it's all on show here. This is like someone flicking through the tv or and radio. I just get the feeling everyone involved is full of them selves and the whole album as like the 2nd has the same artists on it, including again Frankie Goes To Hollywood, who I am not a fan of. There are ocational jems in there but it's like trying to a eat a nice meal while someone throws dirt at your face as you eat. Bring on the paracetamol i have a headache

ZzzzzTT -For Completists
Do I really need this? Listened to it once, fleshed out with previously available material, some claiming not to be, but I'm sure I've heard it before. Same old liner notes, for completists really. Still no 'Video Destructo Mix' of Two Tribes. It would be nice, and would rather have The Tube/Network 7 programmes on DVD.
