I became a Topens customer in 2021 after researching the market for available systems that would meet my needs for a twin leaf 12 foot wide set of custom steel driveway gates for my new home construction.Topens was unknown to me but I took a chance based on their claims and the words of others that spoke about the products and very importantly to me customer service after the sale.My system includes the PW502 gate opener, TC173 push button, TEW3 exit wand, ET24 lock, TKP3 keypad and two key fobs.I consulted pre sale with support people and they were fabulous. I ordered the system and had little difficulty with the installation.Very recently my right hand arm stopped working properly. I contacted a support resource and they sent me two pages of easy to follow diagnostic steps to take in order to understand what was causing the problem. Turned out to be the ALS01 limit switch. $19 later via the Topens Amazon store and 2 days later I was following their instructions on how to replace the limit switches. It is harder to change the limit switch than it needs to be. All it would take is to make the hole in the head assy slightly larger so the limit switch can slide through without totally dissasembling the unit. Aside from that the instructions that topen sent me were perfect.

Replaced both front and rear sensors on a Homeland Hardware brand actuator that seems to be a 100% match for Topens brand. Thanks ! Worked fine and fixed a gate with one bad sensor. FYI these are about 650ohm closed with the magnet close and 1800ohm open with no magnet close - which lets the gate controller know if a sensor is missing or disconnected or broken. Not just a simple open or close circuit here.

I contacted topens about my gate that was malfunctioning. I emailed photos and video and was ready to purchase a new actuator arm. They told me to just swap out the limiter switch, I was skeptical but for $20 it's worth a shot. The item arrived quickly and it was an easy install. Best of all it worked.
