No, it won't, but we recommend that you flush out your sprayer with warm soapy water after using the dye.

How do you prevent the dye from going all over your flowers & plants within the mulch bed?

covered them with plastic. I just used dry cleaning plastic. Moved it around when I moved to a different spot. Use gloves too. It got a little on some bushes but they were fine.

will this kill weeds?

No, but it will color them black this is for coloring Mulch black it will not kill weeds

Can this be spayed on red mulch? Unfortunately where I live we do not have black mulch

I honestly don't know but I think it would be worth a try. Depending on how much you are trying to cover it may take multiple jugs.
