ENOVI Original Starfish

I really like the chair. I had tried regular yoga balls before, but having the rolling feet makes it much more comfortable and flexible. I also like having the fabric cover—again, much nicer than sitting on the plastic directly. Assembly was pretty easy; just make sure to put the feet on after you put the fabric on. You can assemble it manually—don't bother with the wrench. The wrench isn't very high quality and doesn't work well to loosen the screws if you want to take the fabric off to wash it. I think it works best if you have a height-adjustable desk because you sit higher than you typically would on a regular chair. I think it's a great product and I'm very happy with it.

Now that I have the correct item with the wheels, I can say that I am quite pleased with the product itself. After 3.5 years of working from home since 2020, I just couldn't stand my regular office chair any more--my legs were restless and I was slouching constantly. The starfish chair actually makes it kind of hard to slouch...you have to make yourself slouch and it's definitely uncomfortable. Sitting on the ball puts your hips in the right position which then aligns your back. I like this model with the base so the ball isn't rolling around on the floor. The cover over the ball gives it a more stylish look so you don't feel like you are at a gym. I can kind of wiggle around and bounce a bit when I feel fidgety. And it's solved the problem of my legs being restless. In my other chair, they didn't quite reach the floor and I hated having my legs dangle so I would just sit with them crossed up in the chair. Now my feet are comfortably planted on the floor which engages my legs just enough to support my whole body. As I am adapting to this chair, I can tell it's working some muscles in my back because they get a little tired but the posture improvement is worth it and hopefully it makes my back stronger. I will say it took several attempts to get the right product. I ordered the med. size with caster wheels and Amazon sent me one without wheels twice. I had to go straight to Enovi for resolution. Fortunately, the package from Amazon included contact info for Enovi so I emailed them and told them of the problem. They responded right away and agreed to send me the right product at no additional charge. I was impressed at how quickly they responded and how generous they were with the resolution. I was only hoping to get the wheels sent and they sent a whole new chair.

i bought this chair to replace an old exercise ball chair from a different comany that met it's demise after many years of loyal service in my classroom. The color is rich and beautiful, jut as advertised. This chair was fairly easy to put together, though inflating it and measuring the ball was a little hard but still doable with just one person, but a second set of hands made it much easier. I initially received a defective chair that sprung a leak after only three hours, but I had filed the warranty throguh the company before hand (there is a helpful piece of paper to remind you) and reported the defect to the company directly. They wasted no time in replacing the product, and now I'm typing this from a comfy ball chair that is holding air perfectly. The chair was a little higher than I expected, but that works out well for my height (5'7"). As some of the other reviews have said, it would be a little tall for someone shorter, but it comes with both the caster wheels and shorter feet. The instructions were pretty easy to follow if you read them correctly. The fabric cover has to go on before the wheels/feet so that they can hold it in place, which would make it a little harder to clean if you wanted to completely wash the cover (it's easy to spot clean though!) Overall, I am thrilled with the product. it makes sitting at my desk much more comfortable, makesit easier to maintain good posture, and you can't fall asleep after being at work for 12 hours straight for parent/teacher conferences!

The frame is strong and sturdy. The wrench that comes with it to tighten the nuts/bolts is super cheap. The wheel castor is so greased up (which makes for a smooth roll) just be aware when tightening the nut, the wrench bent & slipped and sliced my hand open. Wasn’t a nasty gash, but enough to have a lot of blood. The ball that came with was so tiny that even filled to the gills it slipped right through the frame. Worthless. It’s a sturdy ball which seems to be of high quality, it’s just too small. My guess is the frame is standard for all sizes available, so it doesn’t make sense that the ball is so small. Anyway, I had a 65cm ball that I was already using, but I was too short at my desk for it to be useful, so I instead, I let some air out and replaced the ball with this one. The frame does add more height than appears so yay, I was able to make it work. The cover is nice and can be removed to be washed (but you have to remove the wheels to get it off) I’ve been using a couple weeks now and I can say it’s worth every drop of blood & dollar spent. :-) I’ve seen an improvement in my posture and my hips don’t hurt when I get up to walk anymore!

I love the look of and comfort of this ball BUT it really needs some type of net or support under the ball to keep it from sinking. Writhing a few days (fully inflated and measured with the enclosed measuring string) the ball sinks into the frame making it rest in the floor and then it won’t roll. It makes me so sad because it really is so comfortable and well made. This would be the only chair I sat on except I can’t turn to get anything behind my small group table or turn to get off the chair (which is pretty high and I’m tall).

Ball won't stay in the seat no matter how much we inflate it, it continues to slip through straight to the floor after a short time sitting on it. The ball also deflates overnight and requires re inflation every morning

Great in every way, but ball has a slow leak (as other reviews have said) and has to be topped up daily. What a shame.

Mit dem vorteil trotzdem beweglich zu sein Dank der Rollen. Mit einem normalen Sitzball gerade bei online Meetings kaum machbar etwas außer Reichweite zu holen ohne mit Ball zu hüpfen. Sieht vor der Kamera komisch aus jetzt Rolle ich wie mit einem Stuhl aus dem Bild habe aber trotzdem den Vorteil des guten sitzen.

Have had other ball chairs (the ones with the backs that are not needed) this one is better and the cloth helps not feel hot while sitting on it.

La uso per alternare il lavoro seduta e mi trovo davvero molto bene. Mi sento più "sicura" che nell'usare una palla da yoga classica senza supporto e posso usarla anche durante i meeting senza preoccuparmi. Ho comunque la mobilità del bacino sollecitata e se voglio fare gli esercizi "classici" la palla può comunque essere utilizzata. Comodissima la piccola pompa non ingombrante ma efficace!
