The Edge First Strike rod series is built on light, strong proprietary high modulus carbon fiber material. The rods feature ALPS MXN Stainless steel guides, w/ Zirconium inserts. Featuring a stainless-steel frame, these guides are corrosion resistant, & weigh 40% lighter than comparable single-foot and tri-legged guides. MXN guides feature a recessed ring design, which creates an enhanced bond between the ring & frame while protecting the ring from impact & corrosion from saltwater exposure. The angled tri-legged frame design eliminates nearly all line wrap to allow for casting distance & accuracy. The casting models feature braided carbon-fiber split grips. The braided carbon fiber seats are an arduous, but necessary process to ensure that the rod is allowed to function at the highest capacity without unneeded weight. This rod features the patented Edge Rods offset reel seat. This ergonomic design allows for proper balance & efficient hand placement while fishing. In order to improve the rods sensitivity & overall feel, a highly developed feel through reel seat is featured on the medium-light to medium heavy power rods.
