Not impressed

Don't get me wrong I absolutely worship Berkey and their water filtration system... but I did not buy this Berkey directly from their company but from a distributor. I don't know why it was my impression that this would be minor cosmetic damage, it was far more than that! This unit has two very noticeable dents, and none that seem to have been done from the visible packaging damage surprisingly enough. The unit does work but it is quite a bit more damaged than I had anticipated.

Save yourself the trouble!
Started out great. Not even two months in, I have floaties in the water that's supposed to be pure. It could be because the plastic wingnuts have stripped out & won't hold the filters tight against the bottom of the top piece, which makes the system absolutely worthless. If you're planning on using for SHTF, forget it, your pond water will be mixed right in with your potable water... worthless. Is there a metal nut or something that will actually fix this? I've called the company that sold it to me, HEAmotivation, but they don't seem too motivated at all to return calls. ThanksHEAmotivation for no help at all... Buyer Beware!!!

If you tighten the nuts to much the system will be worthless only snug for tighten but do not use the spigot that comes with it buy a different spigot then the machine will be absolute. I have had my berkey for 1 year and its awesome. I have put mud,salt water,pond water etc and it filters it all out and plus the filters are a non-clog system.This so worth the money

CALL ME A WATER SNOB..
This is the most awesome product ever. We love water and even more so now- I have never tasted anything so fresh and clean. (we have even had natural springs right from a mountain and the Berkey is more crisp than that. Only downfall is the water spout is plastic, we will be upgraded this soon.
