Love it! I hated the taste of my water and decided to try the Berkey. My water now tastes so clean and pure and I'm drinking more water than I have in years! I also have a summer home in Alaska (on well water) and I plan to buy one for there also. I could transport it back and forth but it would be too inconvenient taking it on the airplane. I think one of these will be my grown children's presents next Christmas....I know....very practical gift!I had no problem setting it up....and I'm not very mechanically inclined. I also bought stainless steel ice cube trays and love them also...after all, if you want clean, pure water, you don't want nasty ice that comes from your refrigerator icemaker and I like to stay away from plastic as much as possible. I also bought a stainless steel spigot to replace the plastic one that comes with the Berkey, which I'm sure would work fine, but I wanted everything to be stainless steel.

This is one of my best purchases ever! No more filter changes every few weeks!! No more heavy bottles to carry to and from the store! Much better quality water than I've ever had! The cost per glass is so much less than bottled water and so easy. I liked this so much that I bought one for my niece and her husband. Their water is terrible and now they can get rid of the Pur filtering system that takes up a large part of their fridge. Click on the picture to see the table I had custom made for my Berkey!

Simple design, easy to use, and delivers pure clean water from the tap. Like the fact that the filter removes arsenic and fluoride from the water. Use this filter for all of my drinking and cooking water needs. This size is perfect for a household of two persons. The unit is small enough to fit on a refrigerator shelf if you want to keep the water cool for drinking.

Exactly as described. Came in pristine condition. Easy to assemble. Makes our horrifying local water enjoyable to drink. No more lugging the 32 water bottles home from the store. That's 5 bucks I saved. The Berkey pays for itself in no time, and lasts for years.

A reasonable means to purify water--using gravity--what a concept. It's also portable for traveling (camping) or I suppose a vacation where you took the car/van. I love that it is so "lo-fi" and the filters last a really long time. We love ours!

I totally love this product. I purchased the travel model considering kitchen counter space, family needs, camping, etc. The water is good. I fill it up at night and store additional water in the refrigerator for use. We fill up individual water bottles to make sure we always have fresh water not wanting to leave water in the Berkley for a long period. For me, ideally, not more than 2 days. I received the stainless steel water bottle which I fill and take with me when I go out to work or shopping. Love it, Love it, Love it.

Had to return. Takes forever to filter any water at all. Instructions are easy enough, but you better like to read and follow directions for an hour and your fingers prune while you wonder if you are doing it correctly. Needs to have a better 'priming' solution as you have no way to tell if it is working. Also check length- can't open my cabinet when placed on counter top. All around a terrible purchase for me.

So far this seems like a really good investment. It took running 5 tanks of water before the flouride filters were rinsed clean enough, now the water tastes really great. When you set it up just be sure to follow all the instructions and you shouldn't have any trouble.
