I picked up a hydroponic system earlier this year and was wondering if there was any kind of 'single' lit unit with a timer. As many of the reviews say, the battery life isn't the greatest (but I wouldn't expect as much in a unit this size) but if you keep a USB connector plugged to it so it can charge as needed, it makes for a great little office/desk top hydroponic planter. I have a small batch of strawberries growing in mine at the moment and they are doing great.

Wanted a little bit of enjoyment at my desk side and bought this planter and a plan from Lowe's and I couldn't be happier. Not only does the lamp keep the plant alive and healthy, the radiance actually has been positively affecting my mood. Definitely want to buy another for more variety.

I got this product, and for the first month it worked great, my plants were growing excellent! I was about to buy another but then the light started to slowly slide down. After time I was putting it up two times a day:( Once I was gone for like 10hr and it had crushed my plant to death!!! I was not to happy it was a month passed the return day, and returning things to Amazon is already hard enough so I just threw it away and bought a grow light somewhere else, which was a lot better. I wouldn't buy this product again.

This worked great at first, but it will only work if it's plugged in, which defeats the purpose of getting it. I was so excited for a rechargeable one, finally!

This thing is adorable, it’s a great design and nice quality. It’s VERY SMALL the hole for the plant is maybe 2 inches. It’s works with soil or hydroponically. Either way the plant sits in water, so used as intended it’s really only appropriate for starting seeds, and tiny tropical plants. It’s really good for my Venus fly trap (in soil) as they like bottom watering and the extra humidity. I don’t think succulents would work because they need a dry environment and typically have shallow roots so in this type of setup they would just wind up just sitting in a humid environment with soggy soil. The light it great, good quality for the price, my only complaint is that even with the 9hr timer it still needs to be charged every night (that’s a full brighter for 9hrs) you could theoretically keep it plugged in but the cord would stick out the front and hang in front of the plant. I would recommend it for fly traps and it would probably be good for kid’s learning about plant cycles and trying out easy to manage hydroponics.

A nice look. I dislike the size. I'll return the product since it doesn't look like the photo. There is a limit of 100g soil. Perhaps it would be better to start with a seed and then transplant.

I love that I don’t have to plug this in, which my office doesn’t like, it has a timer, and it’s compact, clean, and looks rad. This is my favorite all in one planter and it’s under $20. I keep forgetting to see if they make other stuff. I will say the light stand could be a bit smoother when extending and collapsing but I wiped it with a little wd40 and it’s perfect now

The battery life is different in all three setting. I noticed on warm light it will last 16hrs and on Red+Blue light 8 or 9hrs before the lights dim down on the device. I got it for my pitcher plant. The first picture was when I got the unit. The second picture was a taken a month after. I also took a picture of the height since I seen some reviews about the hight of the light on the unit but so far I like it. It's good for starting plants then moving them to a bigger vase. I use a power bank to charge the light at night. That way it could be charged for the next day.
