When I bought this product i read all the research on it first. I was happy to find something I thought was going to work for multiple situations. I was so disappointed when it came. The strap is not long enough to fit around my head to use the mask just as a sleeping mask. (I have an average size head) The velco kept scratching along side of my face from the eye mask itself when trying to use the head pillow. If you have a lot of hair it does not fit and trying to flip your hair outside of it doesn't work so well either. I am a side sleeper, using this product was not in the least way comfortable at all. My husband snores, so when i read there product I thought wow something that finally might help. I didn't even get past the stage of laying down on my pillow for 2 minutes before i had to take it off. I would not recommend this product. Finally what chapped my butt, pis Napp Starr states a 30 day guarantee full refund!! I have just got this in the mail 3 days ago tried it and went to return it and it says you can not return the item!! Do not buy this item!!

If you are looking for a solution to sleeping more peacefully, this is NOT YOUR OPTION! This is exactly what it looks like in the picture. A pillow (not even that great of a pillow) that wraps around your head and attaches to the eye mask or chin strap by Velcro. If you move at all in the night, NO MATTER HOW YOU ADJUST THE STRAP/EYE MASK, the pillow moves. The aesthetics aren't that great either.... my son said I looked like a Power Ranger, but not in a good way!This product is a complete rip off, but I must say their marketing team does a great job. They have the art of complete BS mastered. The chin strap is a flimsy piece of elastic. The pillow is thin, but well enough made. The eye mask is just a piece of dark, soft material. Don't get suckered in by all the great value they tout on their write up. The stickers that make traveling awesome are just that - Paper stickers that you can stick to the eye mask. I wouldn't be caught dead in public with this contraption on my head, let alone with a cheap paper sticker on it saying "will wake for food". They claim "deluxe transformer, revolutionary, sound muffling sleep mask travel pillow" not so much deluxe nor revolutionary. They also claim "triple-sensory inhibiting" sleep aid. So there's sight and sound. The third must be taste.... Why taste you ask? Because you look like you have ZERO taste if you strap this ridiculous contraption on your head! Oh and don't forget the travel bag that it comes with. It is a thin plastic baggie with a string in the top to sinch it closed. This wouldn't last one minute while traveling anywhere! Nice try, but this is a complete waste of money!

Pros: The idea for the product is great: it is supposed to allow you to sleep on the side while your ears are blocked from noise. Noise blocking headphones don't allow sleeping on the side.Cons: it performs poorly. The mask is not blocking the light well, doesn't hold shape, wrinkles and presses on eyes. Good masks are made in such a way that they have special hills to avoid pressing on eyes. Compare for example with this good mask: it doesn't press on eyes and blocks the light well: Dream Essentials Sweet Dreams Contoured Sleep Mask with Earplugs and Carry Pouch, Black Same problem with noise blocking. The product doesn't block the sound. The normal blocking headphones go around the ear. This thing does not. It almost doesn't block the sound. It is useless in blocking the sound. Normal sound blocking headphones block the sound way better. I compared them side by side.

The information on this product says it does not block 100% of all sound. According to my ears it blocks no sound at all. It's also very difficult to fit with the velcro attachments between the eye mask and pillow portion. I have a ski headband I got for free that works better. This thing is really useless to me and in my view does not come close to delivering on its promises. I'm disappointed in Amazon for brokering sales of this thing. I'd give it zero stars if that were an option.UPDATED on 24 June 2013: Due to the avid responsiveness of the company founder I am raising my rating on this to three stars ("It's OK"). If you use it with the earplugs and find a way to push it tighter against your head, it does reduce ambient sound, and the band keeps the earplugs from falling out in the middle of the night. Given the price, it might be worth a try for some people. Just don't expect miracles, but then again it doesn't promise them.

The large velcro pads for the noise canceling earmuffs are really loud and stiff, and are directly above your ears. The velcro is louder than any noise I'm trying to cover up, if you can lay perfectly still all night then it might be quite. I'm sad I can't return this because it is completely unusable.

HORRIBLE. Rip-off of your money for an overpriced, nothing special but uncomfortable sleep mask and cheap, foam ear plugs.

the blindfold works decently. but the ear covers do not block out any sound at all.

It arrived today, and I quickly tried it out. I could just as well wrapped an old T-shirt around my head for all the good it did. The drop in sound level was so miniscule as to be undedectible.Rereading the one review that was available at the time I ordered,it leads me to wonder if that review was a plant by the company it was so far off the mark.I have, as we all have, bought things that have not measured up to our expectations, but this thing is utterly useless with regard to sound. It did appear, however, that the mask would block out light effectively.Bottom line: save your money and don't buy this product.Update on 12-27-2012 I was contacted by the company and had a nice conversation on the use and capabilities of the product. The product is comfortable to wear, and it is effective in light control. Sound deadening is a problem which is why I bought the product in the first place. The company offered to exchange the Nap Star for their DreamHelmut which is proported to have better sound control. Based on their excellent customer service I am raising the company to 3 stars. I will report on the DreanHelmut when I get it.
