Wow! I've ordered Szechuan Peppers before and thought they were fine. Then I splurged on these and realized all the previous purchases I made were stale garbage. These have a potent lemongrass/vicks aroma and the mouth tingles hit immediately and build for several minutes. If you mix these with crushed chili you have a world class Mala spice. Highly recommend!

Makes everything better! Very spicy and does make your mouth a little numb- just like it should! I keep these in the fridge and they last for a long time.

This product is similar to other chili crisp products you can find out there. It's benefit is that it has a good marketing campaign to my demographic - Western people with disposable income who can't read Chinese or Korean packaging.But it doesn't taste any better (or worse) than other choices and it has a higher price tag.So if you can afford it - get it - it's good, but the extra $$ doesn't make it amazing. If you can afford to compare products like I did: try a few chili crisps from different brands and taste for yourself.
