Gerber Good Start Baby Formula Powder, Gentle Soy, 24 Ounce

What is this sticky stuff I found inside the formula!!! I'm beyond disgusted. What in the world did I feed my son?!!! Please be careful with this stuff. Don't recommend it at all, but if you must buy please check that it doesn't contain foreign objects or that it has mold or any other extraneous substances

This is the only formula soy wise that my 20 month toddler will drink. She has a sensitivity to the regular milk proteins found in regularCow milk and can’t digest it. She would get very gassy and horrible so we switched over to similac soy. As she grew older and approached her one year we realized we had to find a replacement for older babies that still had soy because the similac was no longer working with her growing digestive system. I ended up looking everywhere for a toddler soy based formula and found this. She is the most pickiest little girl in the world so when I first gave her a bottle of this she was hesitant. Eventually she started to drink her milk and we never looked back since. It works great for her and it is way cheaper then the similac soy. Also with all the recalls many are forced to find replacements for formula. If you have an infant of up to 12 months or a toddler of up to 24 months and they have a sensitivity to cows milk, I recommend them getting this !! So is this an infant formula or a toddler formula? Kind of thrown off that the main label says for toddlers, but in the lower left it says infant formula. Then the website says Stage 3 but calls it for infants and toddlers. They just need to get their marketing right so we’re not wondering if we’re giving our infant something designed for a toddler.

I used the target brand soy formula previously because she actually likes the taste and it was the only formula that did not upset her tummy, unlike 4 other brands we tried, from the lactose based formula for sensitve tummys to soy based. I bought the gerber soy stage 3 when she turned 1 and she seems to like it so I had on subscribe and save ordering 4 per month. After she finished the 2nd delivery, I switched her back to the target brand. Why? There were things about the packaging I did not like. The cans were tiny, wish they came in a huge 32oz can like the target brand. There was one time i cut my finger trying to take off the seal because the tab was so thin, it was hard to pull and once it was slightly unsealed, I tried to pull the actual seal of and the edges were blade sharp. Third, I don't like the scoop. I don't know why they have it on a huge plastic disk, having to use your hands to tear it off. The actual scoop is deep and the mouth is narrow, I can see air pockets when scooping formula, making me doubt acuracy of the amount I put in the baby's bottle. I also compared its nutritional info with the target brand and it was not a huge difference. I like the target scoop better, wider and more shallow, no plastic disc to tear off. I just save the scoop from a can that was finished so I don't have to fish out the scoop on a newly opened can. Lastly, the seal has a tab like they use on soda cans making it easier to pull.

Our almost 2 year old daughter is still needing formula, at night and bed time. She doesn't sleep through the night yet, and has never gone past 6 ounces of formula, so she needs to eat more often. We were still using infant formula for her until I stumbled across this on Amazon! This stuff is great, and when she wakes in the middle of the night, she literally hands me this in my sleep haha. I feel as though she's getting everything she needs with this(and her meals throughout the day).
