My Dress-Up Darling 06

Great manga

Best manga ever!! It is totes adorbs! Wouldn't buy on Amazon though. Mine came in terrible condition.

This is the first volume that the anime isn’t caught up with. 1) that’s sad because it just shows how we won’t get a season 2 of my dress up darling for a couple years, 2) I’m pretty hyped to read this.Edit: this is my thoughts after I read the volume. When I bought my dress up darling volume one I was pretty exited. I liked the anime and I wanted to see the manga version first volume took 3 episodes so I thought I’d getting waaayyy over what the anime showed in the first season by volume 4. nope. By the end of volume 5 ended the way episode 12 ended. I was saddened by this but I was a week away from volume six (this one) from being released. So I preordered it. Now the cliff hanger that the anime(also volume 5) left us in was bad. I was mad because I couldn’t wait for season 2 to come out. But after reading this I’m ferocious because the cliff hanger was even worse. Literally felt like a punch in the stomach, and the preview to the next volume only made it worse. Don’t recommend you read the preview btw. Now I got to wait till January for the next volume to be released in English. I’m legit thinking of learning Japanese just so I can read the next volume. But I guess this just means the mangaka is doing her job correctly.

What I love most about this manga is the author's incredible attention to detail. You can tell she puts her all into research. Another great volume. I've learned so much about make-up and costume design that I have a new appreciation for cosplayers and the dedication they have to their passions. I eagerly await the next book.

This one was purchased by my fat fingers and unknown to me was in the que as a pre purchase. I've seen and enjoyed the anime so I thought: "What the Hell, I'll read it", instead of disputing the purchase. It's a sweet story about two awkward kids who are both very passionate about their hobbies/future profession and unknown feelings developing between them. Good Art, some insight into Japan's cosplay scene and its stores and techniques. There's a nice personal story from another person they meet at an event. Well worth the time and a few bucks.Note: I haven't bought any of the previous issues of this manga but the story was still easy to follow.

Large bend in my book and has yellowed pages. Bought brand new? Doesn’t look like it. Massive shame.
