Packed these in a suitcase to use out of town as a tablescape for New Year’s Eve, pleasantly surprised how easy to assemble and how beautiful they turned out. Easy to repack and take home too

Honestly, buying these I thought they would be flimsy. But they are so sturdy. We actually were able to take down and store to use again next year. The really brought our decor to life.

The stars are cute and I found them to be sturdy. The package has no instructions, here's how to do it:1. open the star with the string side down, you are gently stretching it open2. firmly move the last points together in the air so that you have the star shape, you're not attaching anything yet, lay the star back down3. pick up the light, slide up the plastic ring, twist the light to turn on (only do this when ready to use, there is no way to turn off without starting the whole process over4. thread the light onto the unattached end of the cinch string, you may need to push a little but it fitsthe string with the black round cinch on it5. now, with the little light attached, poke a hole in the cardboard with the end of the string on the opposite side of the attached string (there is a tiny round indentation)6. you're ready to thread the string through the otherside of the star now. when you thread the string through, do it from the INSIDE of the star, now when you cinch it will CLOSE the star and hold its shapeConcept is good. Totally impractical. My star is closed and the light is on but there is no way to turn off the light except to open the star again.Would be great for a one time event but would take more than 5 min a day of fiddling with and potentially tearing each star to turn on/ off each time. Somewhat difficult to put together being small. I also purchased the 20” and they were much easier. The cardboard stars are sturdy enough just hard to close. Pretty when together

So used these with some small lantern lights that I bought separately. Super cool. These were easy to unfold and easy to put lights in and easy to hang. They were stunning with paper lanterns and pom pom mixed in. Recommend these to anyone. They are sturdy and not cheaply made. They are not fragile. But I wouldn’t leave them out in weather like rain. Great value.

They were so cool at first. I was using them as altar decor for Epiphany. In less than an hour the lights started to dim. One place in the description says the lights last up to 36 hours. Another place says they last 2-3 hours. What's the point? My co-decorators and I came up with an alternative way to light the stars for the next few Sundays for the sermon series. There were no instructions included. One of the stars tore as I assembled it. I do not recommend these. 😐 I was really disappointed.

I mix these stars in with some of my gray ceiling designs and they look great every time.
