**Q: Can this be used with any kind of  microscope?**
A: I have used them in all different kinds of compound microscopes and I have a digital microscope - they’re are good slides. I would recommend them.

**Q: What are the 3 types of bacterial smears? Does it contain gram positive cocci, gram negative bacilli and spirochetes?**
A: The selection of 60pcs and 120pcs both contains the 3 types of bacterial smears (the No. 3 of 60pcs and the No. 38 of 120pcs). This slides contains cocci, bacilli and spirochetes.

**Q: does this contain any slides of the inner ear or retina?**
A: I just checked my box and for humans it has: Blood smear, skeletal muscle, oral epithelial cells, bone cell & small intestine...others are not human...so no...

**Q: does this kit have allium root or some other plant specimen that shows all the different phases of mitosis?**
A: according to the sheet that came with the kit, the answer is NO

They are quite a wide range of well prepared clear slides and are very interesting to study.

It was a gift for my grandsons birthday and he was delighted with the set. The index was informative and made it easy for him to select the slides he was interested in. They are contained in a professional looking box.

All the slides are labelled, stained to show up detail, and fixed under a cover slip.The cover slip precludes the use of my most powerful lens.Some are too large a specimen for a microscope, more useful for a hand lens.Many of the "thin slices" are damaged, but still useable.All in all an excellent range and quality, would buy again.
