Not a bright enough light to read a book.
I needed and still do a cordless lamp to be able to read a book with. I do not have an outlet where I need one. I am using the lamp strictly as a light to watch tv, but I am looking for a cordless reading lamp.

Perfect!
Modern Lantern is the perfect solution for my big open floor plan! I needed lamps in our very open living room and was thrilled to find the cordless battery operated solution by Modern Lantern. They are excatly what I needed, and not to mention the styling, quality, and size is perfect! The Hive lamp coordinated perfectly with my decor, and I'm so thrilled. great idea
How nice it is not to have to run extension cords for my lamps. These lamps are terrific. Did not want to put plugs in my new floor so this was the perfect answer. Have overhead lighting but wanted something a little more subdued for company. This does the trick. However, they do give enough light to read from Perfect solution. Love, love, love them.

Cordless battery table lamp.
This lamp is a good concept, however, the bulb is lacking in wattage power.Should be brighter. Increase batter storage, and bulb wattage.

Upscale Cordless Lamp with a Great Design
I received my bella with brass base lanterns within a week of order time. They are exactly as pictured and mine is a nice size for a more compact area and small end tables. I like them for the soft lighting they emit. I can read when they are on with 2 larger lamps in my room plugged in. But previous reviewers who mentioned they wanted more wattage and more brightness have a case. I like this design in my summer home; the bases are a soft ivory, the shades a brighter white. I bought 2 extra batteries to have backups. The bases work nicely with the brass on my sofa end tables and other brass objects in my decor. So glad I bought these very flexible-use lamps. Only changes I would recommend are(1) have two modes of wattage (a two-way bulb), (2) the shade is fine if you want to stay all-white, but ML could partner with a shade supplier and let customers choose their own. So for one-type wattage only, and lack of shade choice, it's 4-stars. Love the technology though!!
