Great prop gun
First off I want to make it clear that this gun is not made of heavy steel (as one review stated) or steel at all. It is made of pot metal like toy guns used to be made of. The dimensions are very close to those of an actual 1851 Navy Colt. It has some heft to it but nowhere near the weight of a real gun. The hammer can be thumbed back and falls when the trigger is pulled. The cylinder will rotate only by hand. So you can turn it to suit yourself as far as what side looks best to you. The loading lever is inoperative. The grips are hard plastic. You can't easily twirl it because it is very barrel heavy and out of balance. You can do it. But it's awkward. It mimics an engraved gun pretty well. If you don't care about complete authenticity it is a good decorative piece to display. It makes a better prop because when holstered you can't see where it differs from an actual gun so much. For the price it is a very good buy.

looks nice, feels nice, no spinning cylinder.
I bought for the price of 29.44 USD, and it is a really good prop. It is pretty heavy, and the handle feels like cheep plastic. It is sad that the cylinder doesn't spin. The trigger is pretty sensitive. The hammer has a pretty weak spring, so it is easy to pull back. However, sometimes when the hammer is primed, it doesn't catch, so it fires even without a trigger pull. the balance is very front heavy. For the price, it is a very good prop, I just wish the cylinder could spin.

Looks good
I purchased this for my dad who likes Western movies. He has it displayed in his collection. Very nice prop, trigger works, seems like a good quality item.

Decent but you get what you pay for
This is a very affordable version of this pistol replica type compared to more expensive Denix versions. However, be aware that it's much lighter, clinkier, more loosely assembled, the handle is plastic rather than wood, and the stand is fairly cheap quality.
