Great Size!I loved the bowl as soon as I opened the box. Minimal packaging which is eco-friendly. Good use of pine and plastic material. This bowl is big and lightweight. The handle is easy to grasp and hold. I'll be using this at home and on the road for work.Tried out the bowl and am amazed at no heat transfer, easy carrying, and no odor retention. I'm the daily use for all my meals at home.I recommend this item for campers, backpackers, and hikers. Can be used to transport water.UPDATE 2/28/2014: I use this bowl all the time at home. It still looks new and hasn't worn at all. I handwash it only because there is no dishwasher here, but it only retains food odors if I forget to wash it right away.

I have been using this bowl for all my meals for the past year. It helped me control how much I eat. I just fill it up once per meal. I like the handle and overall size. Leaving it on the stove I did scorch the bottom but it still works, I may buy a replacement and use this one for camping only. From time to time I do olive oil this bowl which keeps it fresh.

Every year we camp with friends and while our "CAMPING" isn't really primitive we've learned that washing your own dishes and utensils cuts way down on the amount of waste that needs to be hauled away. This bowl was my breakfast lunch and dinner companion for the whole 4 day weekend and it worked superbly. I'm very happy with it. While I could have hoped it would be a bit bigger, I compensated by getting seconds...

I use this for camping, but also for morning oatmeal as a teacher each morning. Quick to clean and my students have said I " walk the talk about using recycled materials and won't use styrofoam bowls". I keep the similar small cup in my messenger bag and use it for coffee at faculty meetings and any teacher gathering with beverages. It also makes a real good drinking cup for bourbon on the rocks when camping.😄

This bowl really completed my "kit" for camping. It not only works, it just feels so comfortable to use. The handle allows griping options or serving options, either being served or pouring into another vessel. I feel the size is perfect, you can really load up with your favorite food.

Wonderful bowl. Light weight, and comfortable in the hand . Only one disappointment, it looses the Wood look after being used.
