Traxxas2262 Complete High Output RC Vehicle Battery Eliminator Circuit BEC DIY Installation Kit for TRX-4 and TRX-6 Models

Using this in a TRX4 2021 Bronco.Reading online the forums for RC Crawling would have you believe that this isn't worth using as it can only output like 3-4 amps compared to some other external BECs that can do upwards of 10 amps. Or even as opposed to just buying a new third party ESC like the hobbywing ones.I use the Traxxas app via the Bluetooth connection so keeping that all functional was important to me. So I thought, why not try the traxxas BEC which keeps all of that functional before I uproot all the electronics in my TRX4?I upgraded my steering servo to the Powerhobby 729MBL and am using this Traxxas BEC and everything seems to be running without issues. The more powerful steering servo seems to work great for the lower speed light crawling that I do. I have the pro-light kit installed as well and from what I can tell the servo isn't starved for power.So are there better ESCs and BECs out there? Yeah, probably. Does this BEC work with the XLV5 ESC that the TRX4 comes with for a more powerful aftermarket steering servo? Also yes.

This kit along with Traxxas Servo make a very needed upgrade super easy. As with the Servo it keeps everything Traxxas and service is always great so why not. Only wish is that Traxxas would’ve shipped a better product out of the gate with the TRX-4 or at least had the option available.
