Needlepoint tracers are great tools for patternmaking
We use needlepoint tracers to copy draping or copying or fitting work to the garment to sew. They are well made and work very well! Be prepared to work with them at first to get rid of stiffness.

Ditch the Dritz
Yeah, this tracing wheel rocks! I mean get rid of the Dritz tracing wheel and go pro with this tracing wheel from Wawak. It's very sharp and pierces the tracing paper really well. The sturdy wooden handle assures you that it's not going to break from pressure. I waited too long after I graduated from fashion school to find this little baby. We are now one and I can't see myself without it! I haven't used it yet for pattern drafting, but it should be awesome! Hey, the price is worth it and it beats the old Dritz tracing wheel hands down. Just be careful with this little dude because it is very sharp. If you're a fashion designer, fashion student, or a serious person who loves to sew, give this baby a whirl and say "Why did I wait this long to buy a professional tracing wheel?"

Very sharp, works well.
This tracing wheel works great. It marks my paper very clearly. It was a bit stiff at first, but rolls smoothly after a few uses. I do recommend having a cutting pad under what ever you are marking.

This is a good product. I only gave it 4 stars because the project that I need it for really requires the spokes to be closer together. Therefore I have to run it back and forth several times to get the effect that I need it for. In the picture it looks like the spokes are much closer together than they are. Otherwise a very well put together tool.
