Reed ❤️❤️❤️
Sugary sweet and deliciously sexy! Maren Moore sensationally sparkles in this best friend's brother, single dad hockey heartfelt romance. Swoony feels, quirky fun, charming chemistry, and loads of steam- it's totally pucking adorable!Newspaper Nanny fans rejoice- REED is here! And he's hands down my favorite Maren Moore hero to date. As the result of unexpected and tragic circumstances, Reed finds himself the newly minted single dad to precious little Evan. But his bachelor lifestyle isn't the only barrier to this new challenge- Reed's full time hockey career keeps him busy, and the road, more than ideal, especially when trying to form a relationship with sweet little Evan. Serendipitously, he knows his sister's best friend is in need of some extra income- and he soon discovers she's a bit of an Evan-whisperer, second only to Pickles the octopus, of course, so she's the perfect travel companion for baby Evan. Only challenge is that he's recently started to see the luscious Holland in a more than friendly way- and little does he know, Holland has crushed on him since childhood. But Reed's a player, in more ways than one, and his sister Emery might not take too kindly to these two canoodling. But now that they're spending lots of time together- and a delicious arrangement is born.Reed is everything I wanted as more. We got the level headed, charismatic, affable man we saw in NN, but we also get a man with complex layers and some really well written character growth. Confronting some of his own baggage while learning to be an unexpected father sparks some really wonderful introspection- we see Reed rethink his priorities and desires, and we see him let go of some past pains. All catalyzed by his love for Evan, and his burgeoning feelings for Holland. AND HE IS SO DREAMY, Y'ALL!! Kind, fun-loving, generous, and compassionate. He has a big ole heart- and anytime we see him bonding with Evan I felt my ovaries exploding. But its his connection with Holland that had the pages turning- these friends turned secret lovers that enchanted me completely.Holland is everything I love in a book heroine. She's kind, gentle, a bit sassy, and very loving. She blossoms in this story- finds her voice, learns to prioritize herself and trust in others, and she truly shines as a heroine. Her journey is quieter than Reed's, but not less meaningful, and I simply ADORE her.Their chemistry is so sweet- and with the right dash of heat. Reed's got a dirty mouth- AND I AM HERE FOR IT. But I also loved how they opened up their hearts to each other, and gently evolved their relationship into something more intimate emotionally. Their banter and flirtation is both charming and authentic, and I just swooned and sighed left and right at their cuteness. And, the drama is pretty low angst- so you just feel good.Maren has really hit her stride - and it's clear the Totally Pucked series is going to be a new favorite. Swoony alpha hockey stars and the sassy but vulnerable heroines that enchant them? I NEED ALL OF THEM! Sweet, sincere, and feel-good romantic magic. Maren reminds us love comes where we least expect it- but when you find it, well, change on the fly- and dive right in. Because nothing is as sweet.

Good Story
3.5 stars, this was a really good read, but rated it lower because of the errors.Reed and Holland (and Evan’s) story was really sweet and had plenty of steam. Holland is Reed’s sister’s, Emery, best friend. They all grew up together and Holland has always been secretly in love with Reed.Reed is a reformed playboy, thanks to becoming the legal guardian to his half-sister’s child, Evan. He trusts Holland to help take care of Evan while they travel for away games.Of course, they fall in love and experience a few bumps along the way, but get their HEA. It’s a sweet, quick story. As for the errors…I feel like a writer should know the difference between your and you’re. And there is a sentence in the book that I can’t make sense of. At the beginning of the book Holland’s dad has dementia, then later it’s Alzheimer’s. The story also seems to forget Evan’s existence while they’re getting it on in the hotel rooms. I find it hard to believe that a 3-year old that just lost his parents would sleep well in a hotel after such a huge change, but that’s just the parent in me.

A must read
I cannot say enough good things about this amazing book! The storyline, the characters, the plot, and the tropes all hold you in. Sports romance has always been my favorite genre but this might be one of my overall favorites within the genre! The book follows Reed Davidson, best friends to Liam from the newspaper nanny (love when books tie together even if they’re not a series). Reed is a single hockey player, living what he thinks is his best life- girls, bars, hockey, and money. Yet something more valuable is missing from his life, well he’s about to find out what that is. Reed gets the terrible news that his half sister who he barely knows had tragically passed away, leaving behind a little boy. Reed is the only available Guardian, seeming as his younger sister- is well too young, his father who left Reed when he was younger- has fallen ill with cancer. Can Reed step up and be what his nephew needs him to be? Well maybe with the help from his younger sister long time best friend, Holland Parker.Holland Parker has a dream of being a librarian(don’t we all 😂) and is finishing up her last years of school to achieve her dream, while also trying to work full time to take her of her father who sadly was diagnosed with dementia. Holland is trying to juggle it all but eventually one of her balls will call and who better to be there to catch it then Reed.Reed offers holland a full time job being his nanny for his nephew, giving holland more time to study and care for her father and Reed get a piece of mind to know his nephew is cared for and he can continue on with his career. What happens when sparks fly between holland and Reed though? They set in place three rules to follow to avoid heart break, but can the self proclaimed rule breaker be able to follow his own rules, or will all go up in flames between the pair. Find out by reading- change on the flyMC: Reed and HollandNannySingle guardian - EvanSisters best friend“Rule number 1 don’t fall in love with me”

Loved Reed and Holland!
I absolutely loved Reed and Holland, oh and Evan was just the cutest! I loved Reed when we first met him in The Newspaper Nanny so was excited when I found out his story would be the first book in a brand new hockey series! If you love friends to lovers, sisters best friend, boy next door this ticks all those boxes and more! Reed's life is about to change in a blink of an eye. His Hockey career is going well, he is very close to both his mum and sister but has pretty much zero contact with his father until he gets a call that will change his life forever!Suddenly he is guardian to the cutest little boy called Evan after his mum (who happens to be Reeds half sister) and his Dad are both killed but Reed needs help! Holland has a lot going on, but she will always be there to help Reed, he can just never find out that she has a massive crush on him and has done since forever! There chemistry is sizzling! What starts of as casual quickly develops into much more! I could not put this down and I am excited to read more books from Maren.

fantastic!
this was my first introduction to Maren Moore and i’m now about to make my way through her whole backlist.I absolutely loved every single character, the length of the book was perfect, I extremely loved that it wasn’t super angsty and that Reed was very much like “I love Holland, the rules don’t fit anymore” rather than fighting what they have.I loved how many POV’s we had from Reed, normally it’s predominantly the heroine but I love being inside the hero’s head so much so that was a great surprise.I’m excited to read the rest of the series and Maren’s other books!
