Gorgeous Wedding Hairstyles: A Step-by-Step Guide to 34 Spectacular Hairstyles

I'm a makeup artist who is looking to learn to do bridal hair. This book has nice step by step pictures of how to create many elegant hairstyles for weddings. The only thing I found that I didn't particularly like is that many of the hairstyles are very "model" like - meaning, good for photo shoots but not something that MOST regular bride would want... meaning, popular bridal updos. However, it does give you some nice tips. This would be a good book if you know the basic techniques of bridal updos and want to learn some more "artistic" hairstyles for professional photo shoots. Some of the hairstyles are too "high fashion" or "avant gard" for your regular brides.

Completely worth it, as a bride who has no clue to what she's looking for in a hair style this is perfect. It has step by step instructions and I thought hey I can try them all :)) there are only like 3 African America hair styles BTW so If I was African American I prob wouldn't buy this product because they weren't that awesome soo I mean there was like one good one.But anyways I love this book for me .. it has all long hair styles in it .. and a few medium. But there all so beautiful and some a whimsical some are modern and some are vintage .. worth the buy ..

I really like this book. lots of pictures and easy to follow instructions.

It is simple enough to follow, and more important, it is easily adaptable to the individual. Some of the looks are not as modern or as on trend as I would have hoped, but anyone with even a little bit of skill can make them salon ready, trendy, and fun. It's a good book with sound fundamentals. I would tell my students that while not an imperative purchase, it is a helpful one, especially if they are insecure about their up-do skills.

I read some of the reviews before purchasing this book as well as "LOOK INSIDE" option. I'm glad I did purchase it. Their are several elegant styles that you couldn't wear other than your OWN wedding but what I take from it is there is ROOM TO ALTER and MANIPULATE to a more tone-down style that's not overboard for the occasion. I appreciate this book greatly and WILL TAKE THE TIME TO MANIPULATE MANIPULATE MANIPULATE the styles for the occasion.

While this book is not for the rank beginner, it shows a wide range of styles with careful instructions. Knowing my hair, I'm pretty sure my hair won't cooperate with all the styles, but the instructions are a good place to start for inspiration.

This book has some fancy updos for special occasions but require a lot of prep and technique. Given that there are so many wonderful tutorials online that make the looks on this book look sort of outdated. I bought it to show some of my bridal clients the looks but so far no one has liked any of the styles in it.

I only ordered this book cause I got it technically for free with my amazon spending points. There are mainly updos in this book. I have very long hair and was hoping for a lot of long hair styles but there are only a few :( If you want to do an updo than this book is perfect for you.

It's not bad compared to the other 2 books i bought which are :-Spectacular Hair: A Step-by-Step Guide to 46...-Great Hair: Elegant Styles for Every Occasion ...I just think that this books has some great hairstyle but i'm only happy to see some , they aren't really what a typical bride would have for the wedding. With that said , i still think is a great book and kind of worth having if you can be inspired by it and create hairstyles on your own way by looking at the book .. it's good to have at least one book for bridal hairstyles. it's not that expensive and it;s something you can look at on when you run out of ideas because there are still great stuffs in it.

They always make amazing books

I have just qualified as a hairdresser and am going to do bridal hair next term. Bought this book for a few hints and ideas before starting course. Contains a selection of bridal styles with small step by step pictures and written instructions, and large front and back/side photos. Range of styles for quite long hair from simple to intricate, elegant to informal, and a few for various ages of bridesmaids and principle guests. Gives hints for attaching/removing veil, but just mentions hair extensions can be used. I know adding extensions needs special training but hints for attaching clip-in ones would have been useful .... perhaps they will be covered at college.

This book is excellent I love it and now want the entire series step by step instructions with pictures to show each step as a newly qualified hairdresser I will hopefully be getting a lot of use out of this book and the price was amazing for similar books by more top stylists but same contents are three times as much
