This is a good sturdy cable
This is a good sturdy cable. It's only USB 3.0 though. Although it is still faster than usb 2.0. I wish they made this one in usb 3.1 though. I'm still using the cord to charge my phone in 2020. At this point the cord has had the sheath fray away, the plastic tube crack, the metal jacket crack, and no longer fast charges. For the $10 I paid for it 4+ years ago the cable is worth it. Seems there may have been qc issues later on. The product is not longer sold. I suggest Anker now.

It won't last long...
This cable charges nice and fast like USB 3 should, but after barely two months of use, the neck is frayed and the tubing has come loose from the head, exposing wires. Revealing this to be a very cheaply made product.

Not good quality
It won't last long, after couple of months internally It's fried, It's not holding the connection and It drops data. The cable outside looks perfect, It was always stationary withouth movement. Poor quality.

Completely meets my requirements and feels nice too.
I bought this cable to provide a longer alternative to the 1.6 foot cable that came with the ORICO Aluminum Tool Free Type C USB 3.0 to SATA III External Hard Drive Enclosure for 2.5 inch HDD/SSD (Optimized For SSD, Support UASP) Black [2598C3], and it has served me well so far. Thorough testing has shown that this cable operates the external drive just as well as the original in my setup. Unfortunately for my testing, the clear bottleneck in each test was the slow performance of the relatively old 320 gigabyte drive that was the only spare 2.5 inch hard drive I had on hand. I verified this bottleneck by placing the hard drive in another external enclosure I already knew worked well, and saw very similar performance. In an abundance of thoroughness, I even tested the Type C connector both ways up in the port on the enclosure, which gave identical results. The braided sheathing makes for a very agreeable feel and the whole cable seems well built. I'm not nearly well-to-do enough to have a new laptop or cell phone with onboard Type C ports, but my desktop does support Type A USB 3.0, so this type of cable comes very much in handy for me. It is my understanding that the USB 3.1 10Gb/s specification can be executed with the updated Type A connector, so I'm not sure whether this cable could actually be capable of 10Gb/s with supporting hardware. The description only promises 5Gb/s, so that's all I expect it to deliver. I was given a discount off the purchase price of this cable in exchange for an honest review.
