Written on the Box
I love these oils. I use them when I'm too lazy to zest, and I use it when I want extra tang to my desserts. Let me share what it says on the box: "Our citrus oils are all natural essences cold pressed from the rind of the fruit. Extracts and flavorings don't come close. To appreciate the remarkable intensity of these oils, imagine it takes 44 oranges, 66 lemons and 80 limes to fill a 1oz. bottle of oil. Use sparingly in place of peel or zest. Use 1/2 teaspoon per cup of dry ingredients and use 1/4 teaspoon per cup of liquid. Ideal for baking, or in sauces, dressings, soups, glazes, whipped cream and frostings." The box also has 3 recipes included that sound yummy. They are Orange Walnut Muffins, Lemon Pound Cake, and the one I'm especially looking forward to trying are the Lime Pecan Cookies. I've used the Lemon in lemon bars, and the lime oil is really good in Key Lime Pie. One of the reviewers complained about how expensive the oils are. They really aren't for the quality and quantity you get. I don't think she realized that you get THREE packages (9 bottles) of the oil when ordering from Amazon--which should last you quite awhile. The bottles I recently bought say Best Before November 2014. Today is Feburary 25, 2013. I have quite a lot of oil to use in that amount of time. The oils are intense and they DO say use sparingly. Although, you might enjoy them so much that you will use them up quickly, but they are of very good quality and worth the cost.

What a difference oil makes!
These oils are great to use instead of zest or extract. They are packed with flavor and taste fresh, not fake or alcoholic like many extracts tend to do. I bought a glass eye dropper to dispense the oil, do not use one with a plastic tube as it can damage it and leave the plastic scarred. Keep this in mind too if you are using the oils to flavor seltzer water, use glass and not a plastic tumbler. It tastes fresher and more full bodied than any store-bought flavored seltzer and you only need one drop for a 24 oz glass. I use the lime in Thai dishes, the lemon in chicken marinades and a drop of the orange in cookies is very tasty -- there are a million uses for them. You can even use them for cocktails. Be aware that once opened, you must keep them in the refrigerator. The gift pack contains an ounce of each oil in a cute little bottle with a narrow neck. The amazon price breaks down to less than $3 a bottle which I think is a great value. Since I only need a few drops per recipe, they last a long time. It is also nice to have the smaller bottles so you have fresher oil; a 1 ounce bottle in the fridge is fresher at the end of its use than a 3 ounce bottle sitting in the fridge for three times as long. I keep the extras in my pantry until they are needed.

Powerful flavors!
These oils have wonderful, natural citrus aromas. They are very strong - I added only about 1/8 teaspoon of the lemon oil to a large (3c flour) pound cake, and the finished cake tasted quite lemony. Keep in mind, these are pure citrus oils, not extracts, so the quantity you use should be less than what you are accustomed to using with extracts. Store them in the refrigerator. I have kept these in the refrigerator for months and the oils remain strong and flavorful. I wish these came with dropper caps so I could measure tiny amounts when needed.

Wrong Item Description--I only got 1 set of THREE not the nine promised
The product is fine and as expected. Great oils. The product description is wrong. I only got 3 bottles total not the 9 promised. There is no return for this item, so I cannot request a refund.

excellent citrus flavorings
These require a bit of experimentation, but once you figure out the amounts to use, they provide some real flavor. I've even used them in making yogurt!

Yum!
I was first introduced to citrus oils by a lemon desserts cookbook. Used well, lemon oil can add a delicious intensity to so many dishes. Swapping that out for orange or lime only adds to the deliciousness. I took a cookie recipe from that cookbook and made it with orange zest, juice, and oil instead of lemon, and the cookies were fantastic! Since there was some leftover orange sugar (just orange oil mixed with granulated sugar) I got to discover just how amazing it is on pancakes, french toast, fresh berries, and so on. I'm looking forward to using the lime as well as its lemon and orange companions. I got three of the three-packs since I wanted them to last, and the bottles are a bit small.

secrets of a good cook
I have used the orange oil (you only need a small amount) to intensify the flavors from orange beef or chicken to cranberry bread. Although I use grated peel and juice, the oil intensifies the taste. The lemon oil makes my Italian vegetable soup pop. That little bottle of lime oil is calling me to make a key lime pie soon. Remember only a little is needed and a bottle will last a long time. I suggest refrigerating after opening. I am especially pleased that this comes in a 3-pack of smaller quantities, so it will stay fresher longer.

Fabulous Citrus Oils
If you love to cook and bake, these oils are a "must have" in your kitchen. The flavors are stronger and more true than extracts. I have used them in muffins, pies and cakes. I have not used them in a savory dish, but I am sure they would be great. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed. give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

Love the whole package.
Been searching for a lime oil you can cook with for some time. This has not let us down - its superb in foods. Not used in drinks but the potential is there. The little bottles are lovely and I have them in my fridge where I can just use on opening the door. The aroma knocks your socks off and the taste is sublime. I love all three tastes. Lime is the best but only because we have used it before. Lovely gift style packaging. Not a penny wasted.
