Healing Crystals: The A - Z Guide to 430 Gemstones

This a great pocket reference, light and easy to carry, and can be a good quick review on stones & gems if you are shopping for the first time or repeatedly collecting. I like the tick boxes alongside the stones to help me note what I already have. Descriptions are short and pithy and the photos are helpful. Recommend use of this book alongside other crystal books to fill out your understanding of the stones, and use this mainly as a "shopper's quick guide" to keep track of and find your items.

I was excited to get this. Easily fits in even a small purse or clutch. Loved that the pictures were very detailed and the crystals pictured were not "pristine", which gives one a much better idea of variety when trying to identify. Also pleased it showed examples of things like windows in a clear quartz,etc. Even though pics are small due to book size,they are crisp and I am so glad I have a quick and easy reference book next time I poke around a gem and mineral shop. Sometimes you don't need to bring an encyclopedia's worth of information with you. This has quite a large amt of crystals in it for identification,but is clear and concise. Very pleased with the book.

The author does not simply parrot the standard information and uses for crystals and gemstones, but has put many years of personal research into this book. Some of his information supports traditional lore, some varies. It is refreshing to get different information. As with so many New Age things, there is no one answer to what these wonderful crystals and gems are all about. The journey is very personal. At best, we use these books as guides, then make up our own minds. I am glad that I have this book in my collection.

I like the book. It is well written and structured and informative and the photo are really good too. I recommend it to those interested in working with crystals and learning more about how to use them to do healing work or just to have a greater ability to recognize crystals when you come across them in nature or in stores.

I am a little disappointed in the size of this book (under 100 pages) but it still promises to be useful in my work as a crystal seller in my eBay store,[...] Each entry contains a small photo and both physical and metaphysical information about the stone. This promises to abbreviate the amount of research I need to do prior to listing a crystal specimen.

I am just getting started in learning more about crystals. I think this book will help serve as a guide for me to purchase the ones I want to use. It also helped me to identify 2 that I had found and was not sure what they were. I like that there are explanations on all aspects of the crystal. Would recommend and will be buying more by this author.

I love this book! It is not meant to be an in depth study on crystal healing. Instead it gives you photo's and descriptions of over 400 stones. It is the perfect buyers guide. After each stone is a place to check it off if you own it. It also describes how hard to find each stone is. Fits in your back pocket to take with you to your favorite rock or metaphysical shop.

I like how this book is laid out with photos and descriptions of the most popular crystals. Some of yhe information about angels and fairies is a bit overboard for me, but I can filter through ome of that to get to what I need.

i bought this book after purchasing a set of crystal stones its perfect for a novice like myself easy to read and descriptive enough with a good range of stones to start off your journey into the benefits of crystal healing definately recommend for a staring point..

What a great book. Ideal for beginners and just the right amount of info without too much waffle. I bought 2 of these wonderful books and gave one to a friend who is just setting out on her crystal healing. She thought it was very useful.

This book was very imformative, interesting, to read.photos and explainations were very clear and easy to understand without confussing the reader.Overall a good buy and a nice little gemstone book.
