The Surface Pro Signature Keyboard with Fingerprint Reader has been an excellent addition to my Surface Pro 8. This keyboard offers both style and functionality, enhancing my productivity and overall user experience. The build quality is exceptional, and the material is easy to clean, ensuring it remains in pristine condition.Typing on this keyboard is a pleasure, thanks to its responsive keys and comfortable layout. The backlighting feature, with its multiple intensity settings, adds a touch of elegance and practicality. I find the default setting to be perfect for most lighting conditions and I do not notice much difference on the other settings, for me there's two settings: on or off. The quality is anazing on this keyboard how it magnetically clicks into place and is held ther is Amazon very durable as well I’ve dropped min a few times already and no issues I love the feel of this it’s a great attachment piece

It works great for the Surface if you want to use it as a laptop. The keyboard is ok for work on your lap but I would recommend using it on a hard surface. The keyboard lights up which is great for typing in low light. The trackpad works like you would expect. No issues with it. The fingerprint reader works great but I can't say I have had very many uses for it. Storage/charger for the pen works with no issues. One of the features that I didn't know it did is you can flip it around to the back and it turns off so you don't accidentally hit the buttons when you want to use the Surface as a tablet.

This is on sale often for around 125 bucks. I originally purchased the new Flex Keyboard, only to return it two weeks later because of a stuck key. I'm happy with this new keyboard. First, it has a key to adjust the backlight brightness or turn it off. The Flex keyboard does not have any backlight and costs almost three times the cost. This also has a fingerprint reader. This is not a huge deal because the face recognition on the surface works well. Still nice to have a fingerprint reader. The fit of this keyboard on my Surface 11 was perfect. So I lost the Co-Pilot key, but it was really useless and easy to launch without having that key. I also lost Bluetooth with this, but that seemed like another useless feature for me. I could never picture myself using this keyboard not attached to the surface. I would have given this 5 stars, but the keys seem to be identical to the 350 dollar Flex keyboard that failed.

I bought this in a hurry because the one I had initally with my surface went bad after using it for approximately 10 months. I really needed another keyboard for university to comeplete all my typing for the semester. I needed an option that was reliable, fast, and authentic. This was all that. The amazon prime delivery made it that the keyboard came the same week the order was placed, the keybaord is authentica - Manufactured by Microsoft and came in Microsoft labelling.

For the price its listed at, I would not recommend buying this as its too expensive and the mouse pad is also weak. I dont know how long it would last.
