I did this and it instantly felt much better and doesn't leave anywhere near as noticable an imprint
I had a similar issue to several others that posted saying the caps were too tight and leaving an indent etc. A quick solution is to cut the band off the bottom of the cap. I did this and it instantly felt much better and doesn't leave anywhere near as noticable an imprint. It may affect the overall life of the caps, but for $0.98 it'll spare you the headache.

Dear Wavers... STOP SLEEPIN ON THIS!
This stocking cap really gets the job done. The classic concept of a cut stocking to compress and hold down hair is the foundation of all these rags today. Get on it! They cost almost nothin! They work for about a month! For this price you can get 6 packs for $6 with free shipping and have 12 caps to lay the waves! The only thing they aren't perfect is long woofin. I mean after your hair reaches about 1.75 - 2.5 inches (depending on the grade of hair you have) it may be time for a stronger hair compression tool. Other than that... These cheap caps practically lock waves into my coarse hair in one half butt brush session after a wash. Go get it!

Tight
Super tight but keeps hair in place not sure if it gives you waves since I already had them but it does keep you tight after a fresh cut

Wet the caps first then stretch it out to fit.
The caps were small out the pack. I put them underwater for a minute. Then since I wasn't going anywhere I stretched it out then put it on. It fit great after it dried.

Decent Thrifty Option AFTER Band Adjustment
This wave cap would've been absolutely unusable if I didn't work my own hack on the band. It's a very basic stocking cap - no bells and whistles; but the band --OMG-- so narrow and tight I couldn't even get it onto my head without a struggle. That would involve destroying my waves instead of preserving them. Then I could wear it for maybe five minutes tops before succumbing to a massive headache or passing out. The problem is that the cap is hemmed which reduces the width of the band and prevents it from stretching fully because of the stitches. Seam ripper to the rescue! If you don't have one, you can use a razor or X-acto blade, but be careful not to nick the nylon or you will ruin the cap. Carefully remove the stitches all the way around the band hem. The unhemmed band will be twice as wide and will stretch quite well.Turn the cap inside out so that the stitch on top is outside. With a finger at the center of that stitch, find the center from which your hair swirls and pull the cap downward and slightly outward around that point. Cuff the band upward over the lower part of the dome and flatten it by pulling it outward while running your finger around your head, under the band. Finally, grasp the nylon at the lowest edge and pull it down toward your brow, ears and neck. This will create pull and compression on your waves while making the band even wider and eliminating roll-ups. You will notice there is no sharp indentation from the band, no excruciating pressure, and no irritation from band stitches.Someone suggested cutting off the band, but the dome may not stay on your head without it, and your cap will quickly self destruct from stocking runs as you stretch the cap. Don't lose the band; improve it like I did.My photos show the adjusted cap neatly holding down my waves; the band of the cap after removing the hem; and the cap in its original hemmed and unstretched form. For this low price, I will buy again, but can only give three stars because I have to tediously cut (cannot and must not pull) those stitches.

Be gentle it will tear
Tore one on first use. My nails are short and rounded due to me clipping to prevent nail biting. So if my "nubs" can rip these, it would probably best to be more gentle

Dark Line (Bruise) After One Use
At the time of writing this review, it has been eight days since wearing this wave cap. I wore the wave cap overnight one time. When I woke up I had a deep indentation on my forehead, which I didn't think much about since this happens from time to time. What was different about it this time was that the skin was red and tender to the touch. The indent remained on my forehead the entire day, so I chose not to wear the wave cap the following night.Waking up the next day, the line has become a dark, tender bruise running across the length of my forehead. Even eight days later, I have a dark line that doesn't seem to be fading.I recommend looking at some of the other durags/wave caps that have bigger bands. Spend a bit more money and save your skin.

Thin elastic band hurts
The elastic band hurts due to its size. It still hurts even on top of a wave cap or durag.
