Does the job!
This helmet strap lock is just the right thickness for my Shoei helmet. The black enamel coating may also help with the ease of inserting in under the buckle clasp. I had ordered another brand which worked fine on my LS2 helmet but needed to be ground much flatter for the Shoei as the steel was too thick. The other dimensions were fine. This device and others like it will not stop someone who is determined to steal your helmet, but is more than enough to deter opportunistic loss. For my Triumph, I connect it to a keyed lock bolted to the bike’s rear shock, but you can also use an appropriate cable lock.

They don't fit every helmet I own but they fit most. All but 1.

Poor quality control/finishing of product, poor replacement options form Amazon
1 of 2 of the units was poorly coated and pitted.International order, so I paid Amazon for shipping a poor quality item with the only option to return and re-order with freight at my expense!
