I purchased these for carts i'm building and wanted to have the ability to lock the wheels. I ended up choosing the 4" wheel because i wanted something capable of rolling over minor cracks and bumps without stalling momentum. So far they've been a delight. They attached easily to my cart, have been exceptionally sturdy and the brake mechanism works fantastically. I would say the only thing to be aware of us if you purchase these, make sure you have some wide head screws or washers to go around your screws. The slot for attachment is a bit wider than normal and I worried that a standard size screw head would pull through.

Pleasantly surprised! I bought a set from one of the "big" box stores and they were not heavy-duty enough. I returned those and purchased this set to attach to a very large workbench I made. These absolutely seem build to last a long time. The hardware appears well built, thick rubber for the casters, and the locks function as designed. When locked, there is no moving this bench.The only con is that they come with no mounting hardware, but I'd suggest using some heavy-duty screws anyway. I opted for some lag screws for a seriously-secure fit. Don't skimp on your mounting hardware!I'd buy these again in a heartbeat. Killer price.

I received the caster set described as "five inch with brake". In that context, five inch seems to refer to plate size. My set has a plate that measures 3 5/8" X2 1/2" and a wheel that is 5" in diameter. From top of plate surface to wheel contact with floor is 6". The casters seem to be well made. I wish I had had the measurements above before ordering. I installed them with 1/4" lag bolts on a base platform for a torsion box combination outfeed and assembly table. The wheels make this assembly very easy to move in the shop. They roll smoothly and the wheel locks lock both the wheel and the stem the wheels mount on. When locked the table is as steady as one with legs on the floor. I will purchase again if I need high quality wheels for mobile work stations.

I bought the 3" size caster set with total lock for use on a drill press cart. The total height from floor to the top of the mounting plate is 4 1/8". Overall I think these feel like decent quality, and seem almost identical to the 3" polyurethane wheeled casters I can get at my local big box hardware store for the same basic price per caster. I would have given them 5 stars, but there was a metal burr sticking off one of the caster's shrouds, and it could easily have cut my hand if I grabbed it in the wrong place. My guess is these are made in China, so it's conceivable that quality control or finish may be a bit lax in places... The burr was easily fixed with a bit of sandpaper, but I'd prefer the casters not have any sharp edges on them in the first place.Installation into 18mm cabinet grade plywood was pretty easy. I used 5/16" x 1 1/4" hex bolts with a flat washer on both sides of the joint and a nylon lock nut to secure them into place. Your setup may differ if mounting the casters to different matierials. Do your math and figure it out! I had very close clearance between the bottom of my bolts and the shroud of the caster wheel. Needed to dremel sand my bolts down in a few places, but that wasn't a big deal.Overall, It feels like these casters are very sturdy, and will serve their purpose well. For those who are interested, they also happen to be a decent color match to Rockler Blue Universal T Track. I expect I'll buy more casters from this company for a table saw cart I will build in the future.

I was looking for a set of casters to complete a small welder cart. These felt like cheap imports, but I wasn't feeling like spending much, the cart itself is less than spectacular anyway. I was very surprised. These are made much heavier than expected for the price. The locking mechanism seems to be very solid, and the bearing roll freely but with just enough drag to know they're greased. They're not installed yet, so this review is a little pre-mature. The problem is, now my casters don't really fit the cart it's like putting new tires and rims on a beat up car. They just don't really look right. I'm working on refining the cart, it was probably necessary anyway. Assume they worked amazingly, if they prove to be anything less I'll edit this review.

Bought these years ago and needed another four for another build. Bought these again and no issues. Solid and easy to maneuver.

I've had these few a few weeks now, I figured I'd leave a review.I bought these to replace the smaller caster wheels on my propane grill.I wanted wheels that were taller because moving it across the yard was almost impossible for one person, in fact the original wheels broke off...I measured the base of the grill, bought some angle iron and welded together a small square frame. I welded these 4 caster wheels onto that frame and then bolted the frame onto my grill. Works awesome, however it rolls so smoothly now on concrete the grill almost moves in the wind!I would definitely buy these again.

These are great casters! I made my own furniture dolly at the size I wanted. I could have saved money by purchasing a standard one from Lowes or Home Depot, but I wanted one with larger wheels so that it could be used outside and move over larger bumps etc. the brakes are somewhat stiff and hard to lock but shouldn't be using them much. These are definitely sturdy, heavy duty casters that roll & turn quite nicely.

I needed to make some of my larger power tools portable and these are perfect for the job.
