Había intentado de todo para evitar que mis dos Schnauzer y mi pug se subieran a los muebles, desde lavarlos con líquido repelente hasta poner sillas arriba para que no se subieran. Inclusive los protegí con colchas pero se subían y hasta encontraba que los orinaban. Lo cual incluida un gasto de mandarlos a lavar continuamente con el desgaste de la tela que protege el mueble. Así estuve por varios años hasta que me enteré del tapete petsafe. Al principio no me parecía la idea de que se llegaran a lastimar mis perros pero me decidí a probar y me sorprendí que una vez que los puse solo una vez se subieron mis perros y recibieron los muy pequeños calambres (el tapete tiene tres niveles de intensidad) y a partir de ahí jamás se han subido. Es más en la actualidad ya ni los enciendo (ahorrando en baterías) pues ellos con solo verlos ni el intento hacen por subirse. Cumplió y cumple al 100 % mis expectativas. Adiós a los muebles sucios y con pelos de mascotas. Es una excelente inversión.

I have no idea why I didn't buy one sooner (okay, it's the ridiculous price for a vinyl strip)! No more repeated reminders to keep noses or paws off the table. No more pet parties while I'm not home. There is no learning curve with this; one zap and the lesson is never forgotten. The long, thin strip mat runs on a 9v battery. If you've ever participated in the kid dare to lick a 9v battery, the shock is a little milder than direct tongue contact. It's more startling than painful. Knowing the 9v won't hurt my monster mutts, I've used the high setting from the beginning (off-low-high). I leave this turned on 24/7 on the dining table, except for meal times. I've found that even if I forget to turn the mat back on, the pets avoid it. I have noticed one of the dogs paying extra attention to the manipulation of the on/off button when moving the mat. I think he's figured it out, so I'll have to keep my eye on him. I should note that the thick fur of my human-sized Alaskan Malamute is not affected buy the electric charge. He won't touch it with his nose or paws, but if it's placed where he can lay his protected, thickly figured body on it, he will reach across the mat. This is no surprise as electric training collars don't work on this type of fur coat, noting that an e-collar omits a much stronger shock than this ScatMat. As long as I remember to position the mat so that this dog can't reach over it without exposing itself to a shock, it's still an effective deterrant. The sofa size ScatMat has kept all of my pets off the furniture and the dog hair off my clothes. Again, I'm still using the original 9v battery that came with mat a couple months ago. The dogs still jump on the sofa if the ScatMat isn't laid across the sofa. The mat teaches pets to stay off the ScatMat; it does not teach the pet to stay off the furniture.

So we have a cat who thinks our couch is a litter box, No medical issues just liked the couch to pee on, we have literally replaced our couch many times (so many dump trips to get rid of couches they knew my husband by name) and spent way too much money replacing, cleaning, and such. I was at my wits end and even considering not having a couch at all anymore. When my daughter found this product, I was skeptical but she ordered it anyways. It is the most amazing product out there and actually works I am not kidding. we just bought a new couch put this on it and the minute our cat jumped on it, she bolted right off. No more peeing on the couch, she avoids the couch like the plague now. It takes a 9-volt battery. It has 3 setting we use the max setting. it doesn't hurt when shocked, it does however give a sense of fright when it shocks you. it is not a electrical shock though more like a static shock. All humans tried it before we let the cat on it. I love this and now we have had a couch for a few months without her peeing on it. It may seem a bit over priced but trust me when you start replacing a couch every month you won't mind paying a bit more. I totally, highly and completely recommend this product to anyone who wants pets off, or keep their pets off, the couch and even off their counter tops. Well worth the money Oh sure, we could have gotten rid of the cat but she is old and we love her, she is now our good kitty again and pees only in the litter box. I was skeptical too but please trust me this products works and so glad my daughter ignored my skepticism and ordered one. Best purchase ever.

First time i have slept properly in YEARS My crepuscular cats used to always scratch at the door and become active at night, as a result my wife and I have not had a good nights sleep between us in YEARS... this has solved the issue in one go I highly recommend combining this method with some calming pheremones and catnip as we tried that the second night and it made them less stressed although it does not change the effectiveness of this device... it just works either way
