This sulforaphane ingredient changed my mood for the better. This actually affects brain neuro filament growth and development of neural networks! I didn't expect this supplement to change my life and the effects were felt from day 1 and counting. Not just in dramatically improving mood but it even helped to lower my sugar cravings and appetite. I even noticed my skin became more even toned on my hands and feet, which are areas I see every day, and I could see this change pretty quickly at about the week mark. Come to find out, sulforaphane also helps repair UV skin damage. It promotes liver function. It helped to eliminate my colitis symptoms. These are things you live with and then they're gone. We give this product to our adult autistic son. It has proven to be helpful for him in areas of recall of conversations, previously heard by him and verbalization of those conversations. I was introduced to this by a woman, whose son was taking this as a part of a research study conducted through UNC. It helped her adult son with verbalization, communication and improvement of social skills. (I don't know what amount he was given in the research protocol at UNC). The proprietary elements are all nutritional, and the tablets are primarily broccoli-based. For use with our son, the tablet is ground with a mortar and pestle, and then suspended in juice. We use the extra -strength tablets. The tablets are not swallowed by our son, and the flavor of the tablet is changed by the addition of juice. It is not needed to be used as a means of pain relief for our child.
