AcuRite Notos (01530M) 3-in-1 Weather Station with Wi-Fi Connection to Weather Underground, White

For what it is I am happy with this station. I had my own weather station that I use for weather underground but I wanted a second one that was simpler for my family to use. I used a old 5-in-1 originally but it died. So I ended up going with this one. It has the bare minimum that people would want to know, temperature, humidity and wind. It has worked great for the past couple months I have had it and my family likes it. Installation was easy since I already had a mount for the last station my family used. Also since this one can connect to weather underground I use it as a backup. Overall easy to understand and setup. Would recommend as a bare minimum weather station.

Es bastante preciso, comparo la temperatura que mide esta estación meteorológica con la que reporta el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (México) y la diferencia rara vez supera los 2°C. Existe buena comunicación entre el sensor de temperatura y la pantalla, están separados por 15 metros y al menos tres paredes de concreto y nunca se pierde la comunicación.La considero ideal para quien se inicia como aficionado a la meteorología y quiere tener su primer estación meteorológica.Inconvenientes: Lo que muestra la pantalla no es distinguible desde ciertos ángulos, si esta muy arriba o muy abajo no se logra ver la temperatura de la pantalla, la pantalla tiene un pequeño soporte detrás pero es muy pequeño y si mueven la pantalla se cae haca el frente, así que debe de estar clavada a la pared para evitar este tipo de accidentes.Si te gusta compartir los datos en wunderground debes tener un buen internet, si tu internet es lento puede provocar que se desconecte seguido de wunderground, y solo reiniciando se conecta otra vez a wunderground.

My old one had died after 20 years, so this was a big upgrade and I like the fact I can connect to WUNDERGROUND.COM web site. Because of this, I had bought a friend the same one to install at his cabin up 6 hrs North so we may monitor the weather from home on days we plane on snowmobiling.

I had trouble connecting this unit to my router. I contacted the company and they walked me through the correct procedure. Now it works well. The instructions are not well written.I have another company's unit outside next to this one. (Ambient) When its sunny the temperatures vary greatly between this unit and the Ambient unit. I don't know if its the location or a defect in the units measuring sensor. Sometime the temperatures are 5 or 6 degrees off. At night, or on cloudy days, they are within a degree.I like the indoor display. It is colorful and easy to read.I like using weather underground and PWS monitor to check the current status on line. My neighbors like that also. They can see my station on line instantly.

I like that I can get accurate local weather for my tropical fruit trees. I'm hoping it gives me a more accurate representation than the local news for when I need to freeze protect them. In a nutshell, its only been a month, but it works flawlessly. Inexpensive too.
