Soft, looks and works great
I chose this heated blanket because it was by a company I trusted, it was reasonably priced, and also there was a black friday $10 coupon :) I am glad I picked it out of the many choices on Amazon. It is super nice. The picture is after a month of use. The digitil timer can be set to turn off in a set amount of hours which is nice. There is also heat settings 1-10. I recommend this blanket, even without the black friday coupon :)

Can get hot in spots
I’m still using it, it is soft, it isn’t leaving a bunch of fabric “pills” (though I haven’t needed to wash it yet).If it gets folded over on itself while it’s on, that area will be warmer than the rest, so I try to keep it flat as possible. But you don’t have to babysit it, so to say. Just fluff it out with your fingers, and enjoy the extra coziness. It works well on top of another blanket that was a prior purchase, in an exceptionally cold room.

worth the money
This blanket has absolutely been worth the money. Going on winter #2 with this blanket. Its still soft and easy to wash and dry. Its been a savior in the winter for cold nights. It has a temperature scale of 10 and a timer for up to 8 hours. I usually only need to use levels 1-5 as it would make me sweat any higher unless it were extremely cold. Its so nice to preheat my bed before sleeping on a cold night. My dog also loves cuddling under the blanket with me.

nice heated blanket
ok so nothing beats an electric blanket (well except another warm body) when it's cold. i live in an old building and when the winter wind hits the walls the heater can't even keep up. doesn't get crazy cold very much, but when it does even 2 space heaters is barely enough to keep one room warm.at any rate, i keep the heater down, space heaters off at night, and use this. very toasty. never need to turn it up all the way. doesn't feel hot to touch like some do, but definitely puts out the heat. buying one every year is like adding almost $10/mo to my electric bill over the course of a year. sure it saves some during the winter but still it's a lot.as with all electric blankets, the cord is a hassle. always getting tangled up in it. i try to just set it and put the controller off the side of the bed on a shelf i have. make sure that i'm not tangled up in it when i get up.i docked a star because like every other electric blanket i have ever bought, they rarely last more than one season. despite claims they can be washed, the connector part always comes apart from the blanket (on gentle wash/dry) and from there it's downhill. i had one last winter that was going on it's 2nd season, had been washed once. then it stopped working right in the middle of the cold snap. sigh. now i just buy one in the summer when they are cheaper and have it ready for the one i am using to fail.finally, if you don't really need a big one, two controllers, etc. just get a twin. for one person you have plenty of blanket (even two, if you cuddle), and all the extra cords and multiple controllers are a real hassle.wish someone would make one that really could be washed and would last.

Second time I purchased this blanket
I purchased this blanket as a backup. Two years ago I purchased my first one. The first blanket continues to work without issue. It has worked so well.I wanted to have a backup for another bedroom. I continue to be very pleased with this purchase. It's well worth the money. For its quality of construction and durability, It's the only electric blanket i've had. That is lasted two years.

Cozy and Warm! But didn’t work past 20 days!
I loved this blanket. Sadly, after washing and drying it for the second time and following all instructions, it stopped working. The thermostat/controller conked out and just flashed on “5.” Sending back for refund. Really sad! Keep your original packaging on this one and keep track of the 30 day refund policy.Previous review: I was on the hunt for a replacement electric throw as the one I've had for years was co-opted by my dad who is an elder and my cat...in fact they began to share it during this cold winter. So, I was impressed that this was Oko-Tek certified for low toxins in manufacture, and that it had a two-prong cord and simple controller- unlike my twenty year old blanket that's a workhorse but has a clunky brick controller and three prong plug. I wanted a good name brand and an ivory color to match my living room. So all items checked.I was taken aback when I unwrapped this as it had really palpable cording. In fact I thought "EEW" and almost returned it. But fortunately, I removed it from the amazon packaging a couple days later to "test it out" on a chilly day where I had to do some reading and sit still and within about ten minutes I was hooked with the fleecy soft blanket which warmed me right up. I do note this blanket does have palpable cords but they are fairly lightweight and become more pliant when the heat is on and don't feel weird. This blanket also doesn't feel warm from the top but only on the sherpa underside where you are supposed to have it on your lap. This is great for those of us who have arthritis and get extra achy in the winter. Perfect for snuggling by the tv or even at your desk for work-from-home. It uses 100 watts and having these blankets allow us to keep our thermostat down during the bitterly cold months. The blanket launders and dries well. Once I decided to keep it, it's been used everyday. Highly recommend.

SIZE UP
The blanket is soft, washed and heated well as directed. No shrinkage. Control is very easy to use. The control backlight turns off after a few seconds and I prefer it that way (others may not). Control cord was long enough but the power cord could be longer, I needed a extension cord.Sides of the blanket do not have the heating element!!I ordered a full size blanket but the heating element in the blanket is only in the middle of the blanket with an area the size of a twin. So, unless you sleep right in the middle, that is where you will benefit from the heat. VERY disappointing that the heating elements are not the same size as the blanket. The blanket itself is true to size but not the heating section. The unheated element sides of the blanket of course, are not as warm.
