Saint Joseph Bible with Apocrapha-NABRE-Personal Bonded Leather – Import, 1 August 2011

First make note that the colour of the bible cover is slightly ivory in shade, not as bright white as the photo on display here on Amazon. I actually found it even more lovely and a bit less worrisome ~ in other words, "It's SO white, how will I keep it clean?!"The spine has a gorgeous "tooled leather" effect, with a border of lovely detail.The technology of fake "pleather" has come a long way and this bible cover is nice to hold and lacks that horribly stick plasticky way of "imitation leather" from years ago.The inside of the bible itself is beautiful. The pages have a fine lay out, and there are the copious notes that make the NAB so lovely to use. The St. Joseph edition always contains beautiful full colour artwork presented on thick glossy pages. Another plus is the relatively low "bleed through" of the print from the other side of the page ~ a major pain in the neck to me and something that will turn me off of a bible very quickly.The only downside for *me* personally is that the print (and especially the print of the notes) is a bit small. But then again I don't have great eyesight. I would love for this to come out in large print as well! No bother, I will give this to my daughters when they are old enough to read it.

My absolute favorite Bible style to give out to newly married couple and I get them engraved with their name and wedding date on it. They loved it so much. Amazing gift to give someone and absolute great quality. I have had mine for over 20 years the same kind that I had bought . So I was SUPER thrilled to find these on Amazon with such fair price . Must buy . You will not regret it I bought 6 and I will probably buy more in the future .

I actually bought this for myself. I had gotten one for my grandson and liked it so much, I got one! It's beautifully illustrated with pictures and maps and indexed so things are a bit easier to find.

Good for a first communion gift, or a mythology class…or to read to educate yourself against politicians who try to force their BS upon your body.

I like how this bible is an ideal size to carry around; it's lightweight. I thought the font would be so small since it's 7 point, but I would say it's readable. Absolutely Love it! Get it; you won't regret it!
