Works exactly as described
The ink stays for right around 10 days. I think it really does depend on the skin of the individual person and how heavily the artist soaks the ink. I did one on my forearm with a heavier stroke and the ink seemed to START fading at the 10 day mark. My wife did one on my upper arm, but used a much lighter stroke that started fading around the 5 day mark. I consider this a plus because of the versatility.Edit: as a follow up after a few uses, and starting on a full upper body piece for a cosplay, it seems as if the ink dries out fast, but it sort of doesn't. Meaning: after a short while the tip starts to dry up and a bit of a dangly piece off the tip starts to form. If you cut off the dangly piece or use the thicker side of the pen you will get better results and more ink.Ideally you'll want to do your work in the morning if possible. Sleeping seems to be the worst time for the ink bleeding and fading. i.e.. the longer you wait to sleep, the less issues you'll have. The ink can still fade at close to 12 hours after application if you aren't careful. After 24 hours it stays on really good. The difference in the Fine tip and Medium tip is minimal. I feel like you can get away with one or the other for most things and it really doesn't matter. If you're doing lots of tiny detail and don't want to drop $50 but still need some filling, you can get by with the just the fine tip. Having the medium tip for filling color is just a quality of life thing, but isn't always necessary.

I love it
Honestly, I highly recommend as a great product. The main issue is while It’s a great product. You have to wait a few hours after drawing it on before getting it wet because it needs to sit in and don’t scrub it afterwards because depending on how long you left it on it may smudge

Good product, doesn't last long
While a decent product, lasts a couple days before fading, it's really not worth getting for the price point and you only get a couple drawings out of it.

Hardly works at all; not worth the money
I was an absolute evangelist about InkBox's freehand gel. I bought it many times, used it successfully, and convinced many other friends to buy and use it too. These pens absolutely suck and are not a good replacement at all. I followed all the instructions: applied it to dry, clean, exfoliated skin, and used the development patches. But they don't look like a tattoo -- they look like permanent marker at best and usually barely show. They fade fast and the ink spreads on your skin like any other pen. Super disappointing. I'll be going to another brand of Jagua gel.

Long lasting and super easy to use
I used this to decide whether or not I liked the placement and size of a tattoo I had in mind and it was amazing! Follow the directions carefully though because it’s really hard to get off if you happen to get it on any areas you weren’t planning (I got it on my hands and it took daaays of constant washing for it to finally start to fade and come off) I used this on the inside of my forearm and even with wearing long sleeves and showering every day it still lasted about 2 weeks! It was also super easy to use and the tip made it easy to do thin lines as well as thick ones.

Great practice
The Inkbox Freehand Tattoo Marker is a game-changer! I purchased it for my daughter, and she absolutely loves the creative freedom it provides. The precision of the marker allows for intricate designs, and the fact that it’s freehand adds an exciting element to the tattooing process. The ink quality is impressive, resulting in vibrant and long-lasting designs. It’s a fantastic way for my daughter to express herself without the permanence of traditional tattoos. If you’re looking for a fun and innovative way to explore body art, the Inkbox Freehand Tattoo Marker is a must-have.

So far, so good.
I’ve been using inkbox products for years now and was pumped to find out they made a freehand pen. I use their products and styles to help me decide placement and size of my next tattoo And with these markers, I I can now add line work to my finger tips and toes. I got the medium tip and I am a little disappointed that it is a brush styled tip instead of a regular medium tip. I’m no Picasso myself and it’s difficult to create symmetrical lines and length while doing an opposite stroke with a brush tip. Other than that, no complaints have not had it long enough yet to see how long it will last.
