Q: How do you turn the light off without draining the battery? The on/off button on the lamp still illuminates green & I assume is draining the battery.

I assumed the same. Its definately an engineering weakpoint. I pull the connectors apart each time I'm done using the light. I also found the light to be a little heavy to wear on the head. Its a shame because I'd rather have it on my head for some applications. It is a really bright light and works great on my bike handlebars.

Q: How long is the length of the cord from the light to the battery pack?

It is 27" from the light to the end of the plug. The battery pack has a 21" lead to the socket

Q: Hey can i get just the light by it self?

It needs a power source. Hence the rechargable battery pack.
