As a tea, it is of questionable flavor..
If your intent is a calming feeling, then I give it a solid 4 stars. It does not taste particularly good although it is not bad in a tea. Smoking it, it does not burn your throat. But- if you are looking for a "high" as it seems the internet is telling you you can get from this - forget it. You can't believe everything you read.

Sacred herbs
I ordered these because of the sacredness of the blue lotus flower. I have been using blue lotus essential oil (You have to hunt for really high quality stuff and it is not cheap), but this is the first time I have tried loose tea. This is a decent size bag for $20. I'm confused if it is organic or all natural since the package doesn't say organic but the listing heading does. It says it is all natural from Thailand. I made a bunch on a simmering pot on the stove. It smells really sweet and yummy when you smell into the bag. It doesn't really taste like much and pretty mild. I put some lemon in as well as some raw honey to get it to be a little more exciting with taste. It did actually relax me, and I noticed I had a good meditation with it. But I also became sleepy earlier than normal during the meditation and I had to come out of it so it seems like a good tea before bed. The main reason I have been working with Blue lotus is because of the sacredness, and I have been tying it into my divine partnership. If you look up the symbolism or meaning of blue lotus flowers you can read quite a bit. One thing I read was "The leaves and flowers are borne high above the water. It is often compared to the enlightened being who emerges undefiled from the chaos and confusion of the world. " Which that is very fitting for my current spiritual journey. Anyway, I'm happy with this and don't have any complaints and plan on finishing up the bag.

Subtly delicious — and happy making!
I had no idea what I was getting into when I ordered this tea. Later I looked it up and found that the ancient Egyptians used this flower to experience spiritual awakenings. It's considered mind-altering. It contains the psychoactive component Atropine. It may be an aphrodisiac. Some people claim it makes them high. Some people smoke it to get hallucinations. It’s actually illegal in Poland, Russia, and Louisiana! That said, it’s a very pleasant tasting tea — delicate and mildly floral. And as just plain tea, it won’t give you visions, just perhaps a touch of euphoria. The tea is not blue, but a golden tan color. Many health claims are made for this tea — good for digestion, reduces anxiety, helps you sleep (and possibly have lucid dreams!), and even helps with erectile dysfunction! Some websites suggest checking with your healthcare provider before drinking this euphoric tea — and advise against driving while under its influence.Being an adventurous tea drinker, I didn’t check with anyone before ordering this or before having my present cup. And yes, I’m feeling pretty happy right now.

Smells and Tastes Wonderful! Great Health Benefits!
I am fascinated by the health benefits of tea! I do not know if there is any other beverage that is equally healthy. For this reason, I am always looking to try new teas. This tea, Hummingbird Herbs’ organic Egyptian lotus flower’s petals and stamens dried Egyptian lotus flower tea, really interested me. I had never heard of it before. This tea contains only blue lotus flowers from Thailand, where it grows naturally. There are no additives or preservatives, and it is organically grown. The tea smells wonderful! It smells good in the bag, but brewed, it smells amazing, like flowers. It is even a very pretty dried tea with its vivid blue and yellow. I love the taste, too. I did find that the tea really made me feel relaxed. I do not usually notice such a pronounced effect from tea! It is supposed to be great for meditation, and I cannot wait to try it prior to my meditation! Many already know that the lotus is flower is important to those who follow Eastern thought. The blue lotus flower is said to cause relaxation and aid in sleep. It may also help with pain. Many say it heightens spiritual awareness, too. This is a great price for this special tea.

Nice lotus flowers, no sourcing
These are attractive dried lotus flowers. They range from bright blue to brown in color and the bag includes an occasional stamen as well. There's a light floral aroma that intensifies when brewed as a tea. I can't really report on any strong effects but the tea is pleasant and calming to drink, with a slight bitterness and a light floral aroma. The only concern I have is a total absence of sourcing information — there's not even a mention of the flowers' country of origin, much less any real detail. Apart from that, they seem like a fine choice.
