Good information
This is a matter of fact book that is aimed at the person suffering the bedwetting problem, but also meant for the parents. The theme is that the problem should be tackled as a family. A number of other reviewers comment on the fact that in the end, the book is just dealing with the bedwetting alarm method. This is true, but the book first deals with other possible causes; doing a few tests; giving confiodence to the child; and showing parents how to help. It is easy to read which is a big plus. In the end, from everything I've read, the alarm method does tend to be the one that works. I'm not fussed on the alarm method, but eventually, when nothing else works, the alarm method seems to be the one left. It is worth reading to get as much information as possible, and to do those preparatory tests at home that the book suggests.

Helpful
This is a nicely-written book. My son has been having difficulty and though a little embarrassed to receive this book from me he gobbled it up as soon as he could, hoping it could help him. It is written geared toward children and has some very positive outlooks for kids who may be very frustrated at themselves. It helps him realize he is not alone. We did also buy the alarm which cost about $100 and this book says that the alarm has a very high success rate, so far we are doing well with it but it's only been a couple of weeks and we started slowly. All in all I think that this book is great, especially if you decide to use the alarm also and have an active participation in your child's path to dry mornings.

Super helpful guidebook for dealing with bedwetting - and it worked
I used this book in conjunction with the wet stop 3 alarm and I was shocked with the results. My 10 year old daughter had never had a dry night in her life. Because she is older I did not have to do all of the steps in the book with her (some are for little kids), but I definitely kept the claendar and made her turn the alarm on/off by herself. The first 2 weeks were like having a newborn, getting up several times a night - but then she started to wake up in the middle of the night herself before the alarm. It only took us a little over 2 weeks before we had 14 nights in a row dry and now it has been over a month without an accident. If your child is a bedwetter definitely try this - it really can work.

Great Tips
As a Mom of a five year old that still has accidents at night, I was happy when I found this book. Most book stores hold books aimed for toddlers. My child is such a heavy sleeper that she would sleep in a wet bed until I woke her in the morning. This book gives great tips that are actually making a big change for her. We have had 4 out of 5 nights dry this week, which has NEVER happened. I gave it a 4 not a 5 because I found that it was such a long book when it could have been alot shorter without all the extra info init.Overall though, Im very happy.

Practical guide for children abd parents
Given the pace of family practice, I often don't have enough time to deal with problems such as bedwetting. "Waking Up Dry" is a terrific book that provides a lot of information in a clear and concise manner that not only explains why children wet the bed, but also what they can do to fix the problem. The book is brimming with practical tips that make it easier to treat the condition. For example, this is the first book I've seen that gives children advice on how to handle sleepovers or what to do if someone discovers their bedwetting supplies by accident. Children will also enjoy the cartoon characters and humor that make the book fun to read. I will enthusiastically recommend this book to all of my patients who suffer with this medical problem. Why did I wait so long?
I have 7 year old twin girls - both bed wetters (well, one still is). I started using this book along with a bed wetting alarm Thanksgiving weekend with one of the girls. It's not Christmas yet, and she has been getting up dry every morning - without the alarm going off! It woke her up every night for th 1st week, but she's been doing it on her own for over a week now! Why did I wait so long? I'll begin using the alarm with the other twin at Christmas break. They both loved reading the book & learned a lot (so did I). I would highly recommend! A great succes for our family!

Present this more organized!
I'm sure this is good info but I have never been more frustrated about a book then this one - you gave all of these things to do in a long narrative format and now that I'm at the end - I have to go back and decipher all of this info and try to come up with a written plan - next time provide a checklist and schedule at the end - no busy working parent has time to try to figure all of the things that to be done and in what order - publish a companion workbook or something please! Bladder attention, water gulping, alarm test etc etc etc and that's before you get started - not to mention everything you need to do once you get started.

Hooray for "Waking Up Dry"!
My daughter is eight, and she was wetting the bed every single night (with pull-ups). Two months ago we got the book and now she is dry. It does require commitment from both parent and child. The book is designed to read together and she loved that aspect. I was hoping to get a book and not need to buy anything else, but this book strongly suggests the alarm so we bought one and it was very helpful. Everything worked perfectly. My daughter is very proud of herself and feeling great. This is a wonderful book. Informative, helpful, easy to read, and interesting.

Well written with adults and kids in mind
An excellet book, it is well written and accesible to children, with information for adults along the way too.It promotes getting your child interested and involved at every stage of the bedwetting battle, and most importantly makes sure they never feel isolated or different for suffering this embarrassing problem.
