The Gangster is back. The man some people call Maurice will release his first new recordings in 17 years, BINGO!. BINGO! is the album Steve Miller has waited his entire life to make. Reaching back to his apprenticeship as a young man on the Chicago blues scene, Miller and co-producer Andy Johns brought classic rhythm and blues numbers into the 21st century that have been at the foundation of his music throughout his career. Recorded at the Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, CA.

The Best He's Ever Done
Don't let the so called "Steve Miller Fans" givng this album a bad review sway you. If you know Steve and have listened to his music at least from "Anthology," you'll like this one. Especially if you liked "Living In The 20th Century" and "Born 2B Blue." Personally, I think this album is the best thing he's ever done. Sure, it's all covers, but they're all done so well that it makes for a very, very good album. I've heard all these songs by other artists, even the originals, but I like Steve's versions here the best. Treat yourself, if you like Steve Miller. However, if you're expecting more like "Jet Airliner" or "Fly Like An Eagle" you may not like this. This is blues with a slight jazz tinge, and yes, there are people singing besides Steve but it only makes the whole experience better.

Fantastic!
This is a great release from Steve Miller Band. It is not Fly Like an Eagle or Book of Dreams, it's not supposed to be. Those albums are 30 years old why would anyone expect an artist to release the same type of material after such a long time. Love the old stuff but embrace the new as well. This is also not just a rehashing of blues tunes, very fresh and different sound to the covers without being too far out there and ruining the songs. Very, very good album by Steve Miller. I too wish he would release new material such as Tom Petty with Mojo, which is also great, but Steve has stated that no one wants to hear new music from him becasue all they want is the classics from so long ago, that's a shame because this album proves he still has a lot to offer.

Bingo. 2010 CD with 4 bonus tracks. 2 channel stereo. $19.88
Long time Steve Miller fan from the first album. Stumbling through Amazon and purchased this $19.88 CD. I love the music even though pricey for just 4 extra tracks.Stereo sound (right/left and sub) is fantastic and full. I have listened to this multiple times since purchase. Great packaging, cardboard and plastic. Nice liner notes.I like the additional vocals. Steve Miller is no stranger to having others do vocals over the years.

Welcome back Steve!
Steve Miller Band fans do need to know, that the songs on this CD are blues based. That said, I am loving this collection. While I have always liked the blues rhythm etc, rarely did the genre hold my interest. I think this is because it would become too slow tempo, most times. So enter Steve Miller, and his take on the genre. Great tempos, great rhythm, upbeat, and what I love about Steve Miller the most: the guitar riffs. A long time fan here, and I'm not disappointed. If you are expecting a rock CD, at least listen to the clips and you still may find things to like/love. Favorite songs so far: Hey Yeah and Tramp (great song!)

Steve Miller at his best.
The tunes on this CD are great ones done by Steve Miller and his band at there best. If your a Steve Miller fan then you probley like the blues as well. This CD is a sure hit and well worth the money. The one down side is one of a personal note for the band. Long time band member and friend Norton Buffalo had passed away. Noron played harmonica and back round vocals with Steve for over thirty years. On the up side Steve is touring and I hope he brings his band along with the old hits and news ones to PA soon. BINGO is a hit and a great buy.

Great blues covers
Wow. This is a great collection of blues tunes, including some of my favorites ("Come On (Let The Good Times Roll)", "All Your Love I Miss Loving", "Further On Up The Road"). Love all 3 of the Jimmie Lee Vaughan songs. I have always liked Steve Miller's underrated guitar playing, but this group of songs is a fitting tribute to his blues influences, including Howlin' Wolf, BB King, Earl King, Jimmy Reed, Jimmie Vaughan, Otis Rush and Lowell Fulson. Guests include Joe Satriani.Strongly recommended!

Bingo! Steve Miller Band
Excellent album from one of the all time greats, even after being around for so long, as no self-indulgency. Keeps it tight, and shows that he's still got the ability to make great albums - even if a bit too short (probably lacks a couple of tracks). But still excellent, all the same.

Bingo!
First new recording in years and if you're a Miller junky it doesn't disappoint. A mixture of new songs and covers, the voice is as good as ever and the musicianship is top quality. The band is tight and loaded with the friends Mr Miller has relied on for his regular live gigs in the USA. Combine this talent with his new enthusiasm for the studio and you have a very listenable CD. Not so sure if this will attract a new generation of admirers and at times it does feel a bit light-weight alongside his all-conquering Fly Like an Eagle period. But then that was a long time ago and we all move on. It's interesting to note that on the strength of this release Stevie boy has decided to include a few European dates within his current touring schedule. The energetic way this set was performed in the studio suggests the live act should go down a storm with the dedicated fans.

Fly like an eagle, Abracadabra. Zuletzt DVD (Life from Chicago).Warum eigentlich...?Diese CD erklärt es.
