Hair Mask: Clay and Morrocan Oil for Weekly Hair Cleansing and Curl Definition

I was looking for a clay wash and I found this on amazon.I just needed something to reset my hair, after using so much butters, oils, moisturizing conditioners,and I needed a clean slate to do an effective protein treatment, I felt my hair was getting a bit mushy from all that moisture.The product arrived and the seal was bloated...I had the good idea to use the tip of a pen and pierce a tiny whole in the seal. Very good idea to release the gas, the product would just have popped in my face otherwise.The product is liquidy, not creamy at all, so if you're not careful you could just waste a lot of it. My advice to the company owner: this may not be the most appropriate packaging. A bottle would probably do much better to pour product in your hands and apply.I followed the instructions sent to me after I ordered ( thumb up for this customer care!). I kept my hair in twists, unraveled and slightly damped one at a time before applying the clay, scrubbing my scalp then downward movements from roots to ends until my hair is bone straight. Then I put the entire hair in a plastic cap for 30 mn. I could feel the apple cider vinegar working on my scalp.I rinsed and cowshed as well to make sure I clean out every trace of clay. I could detangle right under the water stream with my comb,no need for any detangler. The curls look tighter. But that wasn't my objective.This is a good product, I like it. You could probably DIY this, but since I'm lazy...With my hair, I get 2 uses out of this.I'd use it perhaps once a month before my protein treatment and just as a pre-poo.a better packaging would ensure less waste of this product.

Not sure if i got a bad batch but mine now has what looks like green mold all over the surface of it. It did soften my hair the times that I used it but now I feel as though it was money wasted as I am not comfortable with using it anymore due to the green growth on the top

This product has done wonders for both my hair/scalp and skin.I have been using as a mask for my hair and my scalp is reaping the benefits.I have issues with a itchy, flaky scalp and this has really helped.When used on my face, my skin glows.

More of a conditioning treatment to be washed out of your hair after using it. It's very oily. Didn't do anything for my hair, except it dryed it out and made it frizzy. Less curly.

I used this last night on my hair. I did what the direction said, but it they didn't quite say whether it's a go on dry or wet hair. So I put it on my dry hair, and I was using way too much. So I use the spray bottle of water and wet my hair, so I'm not quite sure if I used it the right way. But I will say this, my hair was super super super super super super super soft, I thought it was for curl, but because it was so soft my hair did not girl. And I actually didn't hold any kind of product in it and my hair was kind of frizzy. But again that could be my fault, next time I'm going to wet my entire head and leave it on for 15 minutes like it says. It be great to know if anybody else has any kind of suggestions on this product. I gave it a four star review because it did make my hair look healthier, but it didn't do it it was supposed to do.

Works well on naturally curly hair. Leaves it well conditioned and very soft. Recommend to who want more definew curls.
