Great bargain
Good price on this coil plus it comes with the dropping resistor and generates bright blue sparks.

Can't be right, right?
Am I missing something? I'm getting ~2 ohms on the primary winding and over 8 thousand ohms on the secondary winding, both bypassing the included resistor. How is that even possible?

No documentation, Confusing, Condenser/Capacitor, Defective
I have converted my Range Rover classic to a four pin HEI (GM) amplifier module setup with factory Lucas Distributor. Thus, I have two wires off the dizzy to the amp, two wires from the ignition coil to the amp module, and a 12v+ feed from key/battery.Most ignition coils contain an INTERNAL capacitor/condenser, thus there's no reason for this external mounted device. It comes with ZERO instructions. ZERO wiring diagrams. And I can't find any information even on the manufactures website.I have had to purchase another ignition coil (with internal ballast resistor/capacitor/condenser--the white piece seen attached to this uni) as my ignition system is negative ground and shouldn't require an external capacitor. It would be very helpful if ANY information was included 1) in the listing as to what's included and whether or not the external capacitor/ballast resistor is mandatory or provided to address ignition systems that require the condenser, 2) if there was ANY documentation in the box, on the listing, on the manufactures site.I am pretty savvy and have tried multiple setups with this coil and Iv'e come to the conclusion it's defective. But since there's not documentation or contact for warranty; I am stuck with a broken ignition coil that I have had to replace with another one.
