OneBall Jay Ski/Snowboard Tune Kit With Waxing Iron and Wax

OK ONE BALL JOEY I ALREADY DID A REVIEW HERE, AND I WILL DO IT AGAIN. THIS PRODUCT WORKED WELL AND ITS PERTINENT TO MY SUCCESS AT REAPPLYING MY SNOWBOARDING TACTICS ON MT HOOD. I HAVE USED IT ALREADY RIGHT OUT THE BOX, AND IT SUCCESSFULLY RENDERED TWO BRAND NEW SNOWBOARDS THERE FIRST HOT AND BUFF WAX PAVILLION AFFAIRS. I REALLY THOUGHT IT WAS SIMPLE TO USE, SET THE IRON TO 235 DEGREES AND UTILIZED ALL THREE WAXES OVER THE COURSE OF ABOUT 1 AND HALF HOURS OF POLISHING AND SCRAPING AND STILL NO DEFAULTS OF HAZARD OR ERRORS. I THINK ITS A GOOD PRODUCT AND I AM PROUD TO HAVE BOUGHT AND UTILIZED IT! I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS ABOUT THAT! WIERD WHO WOULD OF THOUGHT THAT THINGS WOULD HAVE COME TO THIS. NOT ME AND THATS FOR SURE. BUT ANYWAY THE WAX WENT ON EASY AND SCRAPED OFF EASY. THE HARD BUFF WAX WAS APPLIED EASY AND BUFFED WITH THE COOL CORK ATTACHEMENT EASILY. LOVE IT. I AM PREPARED FOR NIGHT BOARDING AT SKI BOWL AND THE SNOW IS FALLING. PICKING UP MY PASS THE DAY BEFOR THANKSGIVING AND WAITING HAPPILY THANKS TO THE ONE BALL J WAXINIG KIT. The polish pad that came in my kit is white, not black (not that it matters) and it seems a bit cheap. The bag is smaller than anticipated, but has plenty of room for all the items pictured and you can probably fit most of the other items you'll need to get a decent tune (brushes, file, edge tuner, etc.) without too much trouble. Wish the wax scraper was larger, but it does have a corner notch for scraping the edges! It'd be nice if an all temp wax was included not a two step rub and hot 21-28 F wax. Nice that there is some ptex included (2 clear, one black), but no metal scraper.. Haven't waxed yet, but tested the iron out an it definitely heats up really quick which is nice. Overall I'm happy with the kit, but there's definitely items you'll want to add. Main thing I wanted was a bag that has room for an iron and other tune supplies.

Good basic kit. Rectangle iron far superior to the 'iron' shaped iron from demon that we considered. We also considered the deluxe/super dakine kit but realized many of the items were a bit undersized to use on our boards. We partnered this kit with a good brush set and a 2 position sharpener and our skis and boards were tuned in no time. Do yourself a favor and plan to put down a tarp or disposable tablecloth to catch the excess wax. It's a bummer to clean up otherwise. Also suggest ordering some additional wax right away - running low while performing tuning is frustrating.

This is a really really nice kit for the dough-ray-mi. Probably a five star but I wish the bag was just a *little* bit bigger so I could fit some more of the other tuning tools I have in it. There's plenty of room for the iron and some different waxes. Or the iron and a couple scrapers and a brush or two. But if you start collecting several different waxes, base cleaner, several scrapers, a couple different brushes....it starts to get tight in the bag. I make it work, but its a jenga puzzle with all of the above stuff in it.

Super nice kit. I got this after getting my trs and it's a nice kit. The iron is quality and heats up super quick. The bag is cool looking. It comes with clear and black ptex, a small round polishing cork, a pretty big scraper with edge notch, scuff pad, base and top layer fluo wax, and of course the iron. The bag has a few small inside pockets as well which is handy. Bag is big enough to throw in an edge tool and flat file as well. 1BJ4L

Oneballjay makes the best snowboard wax period. I bought the kit because I wanted an actual waxing iron instead of trying to get away using an old clothes iron with the annoying holes in it. This kit has everything, wax, scraper, iron, scour pad, and it all works really great and comes in a handy carry bag. The iron heats up in a HURRY and the thermostat works really well. Highly recommeded

2012 - For the price of this waxing "kit", it is lacking a few things. No edge sharpener, and no deburring stone. Be aware also that what you get in the bag can be different from the pic. I can accept that perhaps the color of the iron may just vary. However, on the Amazon site posting the Product Features state this waxing kit comes with a Ceramic de-burring edging stone. That in fact was not the case. No de-burring edging stone was included. The listed 130 gram pack of wax was also inaccurate as there was only a 110g pack with another small pack of hard rub on wax.[...]I would also recommend getting it sent through Amazon shipping if possible. Having this packaged in a envelope sent through U.S.P.S. led to it arriving completely beat up and the packaging full of holes. I was ultimately unsatisfied with the quality of this product. For the price of this package I expected higher quality materials, and much more tuning equipment. I do see they lowered the price about $5-$10 lower than when I had bought mine.I ended up finding a 2011 Deluxe Tuning Kit with everything included in here and much more for under $45. Found a great Swix waxing iron on Amazon for under $40. Wish I would have done that from the start, but I guess in the end I'm only out the 5 bucks and some change in return shipping cost.
