The brush is fine. I read some reviews that had negative comments about the ability to use the brush on silver. I polish a fair amount of silver as part of work. I use it to get residue out of decoration while running under water. It is perfect for that - will not scratch, cleans in crevices, good size, etc. We have never used them in the actual polishing process, applying polish paste, etc. I'm not sure that is what it is made for. I have had these brushes before, and I will buy them again.

I use this to clean both my silver and crystal. On the silver (intricate antique) in gets into the lines and does not scratch the surface. I especially LOVE this to clean my cut crystal pieces. I have a LARGE collection and used to wash it 2x year. This was always never-wracking for me for fear of bumping or dropping a piece. This brush is very soft and now, I sit myself down, choose a few CD's, put down a towel, spray some window cleaner on the piece, and gently scrub, then dry. Takes about 1/2 the time and results are great.

This brush does indeed reach into crevices and swirls that cannot be reached with a cloth or sponge.I do wish though that the handle would be made from nonporous plastic rather than wood.

Have not used one before and did not know what to expect. I found that as compared to other review about other similar products, this one did not shed. I was able to use it (dipping into the silver polish) and wiping it into and onto the detail. After the polish had dried, it worked great at removing it from those same little details without leaving behind residue. I would recommend it.

I bought this brush to polish some of my Kirk “Old Maryland” hand engraved silverware that can be a bit difficult to polish because of all the engraving. However, where it really shined, pardon the pun, was with a rather ornate ring that I had decided I’d had so long that I no longer remembered how it was supposed to look! Well, like a brand new 40 yo ring is how it looked with this little brush and some Wright’s Silver Cleaner! Happy!

I purchased this brush in a store more than 20 years ago. If you polish silver, this brush is a must! Horsehair is the only bristle that will not scratch silver. It enables you to completely clean all the decorative crevices of silver trays, tea set pieces, etc. with minimal effort. Is also perfect for cleaning silver jewelry. I recently lost my brush and worried I could not replace it, since I've never seen it in another store, even where Hagerty products are sold. Bless the internet . . . and Amazon!

I don't know how I got along without a silver brush! This one holds up extremely well and does not shed hair all over. A very useful tool if you have silver with hard-to-reach spots!

Good quality - sturdy brush - would recommend it

I don't use it on silver. I bought it for safely cleaning the gunk from that collects under and around stainless wristwatch bezels, links and so on, and it works like a charm. Well built.

This is the first time using the horsehair brush for silver cleaning. What a lifesaver for getting the crevasses clean!

Happy to use this with other products to clean my silver jewelry.
